hi!! I agree with your picks, but i'd put Champions as #1, followed by United..specially because in this second one you are not able to get all the content if you missed Kickstarter campaing as I did! I also love Champions depth..but those are my top 2

Really enjoyed the video. Just got a marvel united, enter the spiderverse, and xmen core box all on sale. Looking forward to trying this one out and keeping an eye out for more sales in the future. What would you say your favorite modes are that are introduced through non kickstarter expansions? Dont plan on spending a ton of money on kickstarter stuff but would love to toss in some more complexity or different modes to have even more uniqueness down the road.

These sound great, but there’s another social deduction game you didn’t mention, Town of Salem. It’s an older game with pretty short rounds, typically around 10-20 minutes with a lot of complexity.

I am new to the game and have not played yet. My order of the base set and one expansion just arrived. I want to say though this game seems to operate a lot like Sentinels of the Multiverse (the card game, not the board game). I advise people to check that out if you like this game.

Well yeah its usually the complex and heavy games that gets talked about. Though I kinda understand as well, why is that a case.

My favorite is definitely "Don't Mess With Cthulhu", quick and easy to learn - similar to Skull with moments of high-stress risky decisions, but much more relationship-based, where the people you play with will significantly change how the game plays out.

Great list! I would put Champions at the top for me, my wife would pick Legendary and my kids would say United.

For the United System, hands down Superman, I got the gold promo and such a fun powerhouse charging headlong into henchmen to ignore their attacks and punch back instead. For Marvel Heroes: 1. Punisher, someone once math-ed out that he was the best attacker in the game, I totally agree. I always find him useful as damage is the big thing you need against 99% of villains and his cards are always helpful. Also fun to make rocket sounds as I blast enemies away. 2. Juggernaut, love that he is in the game as a hero now and he’s a ton of fun to play. Oddly his starting card is his worst card in the deck and super situational to use but the invulnerability and charging around bashing enemies is enjoyable. 3. Cable, great tech commander being able to help the heroes cycle their cards to get their stronger ones as well as pull off some massive turns at the expense of a card and then recover later on. Excellent leader piece. 4. Cyclops First Class, I enjoy both the cyclops characters but this version feels stronger with his powerful Optic Blasts wiping out whole locations. 5. Deadpool, so much fun with his random shenanigans and I love the Deadpool Chaos deck so nice to have more of it here. My favourite of the healing characters too as I find drawing cards is better than ignoring damage so you can utilize locations. 6. Nightcrawler, an absolute joy to play teleporting around the board and always being where you need to be. Fantastic character. 7. Dr. Doom, arguably the strongest character in the game especially when combined with season 1 characters and makes him have huge turns of fun. 8. Old Man Logan, my favorite of the Wolverines in this game and neat to be playing a mini side game of trying to draw through your deck to have a huge end game with a potential 10 attack tokens clearing out all but the strongest enemies. 9. Silver Surfer, super cool theme and his specials are out of this world fun, unique and strong. Also I always summon Stark Labs hahaha. 10. Pheonix, love the concept of this character and how powerful and unique she is! Villains: 1. Brood Queen, a super fun straight up bug hunt 2. Sentinels/Nimrod, epic battle and so unique. 3. Quicksilver/Scarlet Witch, awesome thematic tag team 4. Juggernaut, the random directions and durability really makes this into the most fun single villain boss fight. 5. Dark Phoenix, crazy location destroying battle that flips attacking on its head. 6. Sinister 6, epic and challenging multi villain battle with so many cool effects going off. 7. Red Skull, he’s classic for a reason and still the most chosen villain by my kids, also I love all the villains that utilize the tracker cube. 8. Phoenix 5, awesome gauntlet challenge! 9. Spiral, fairly easy but such a cool design and wish we had more villains that changed up the standard missions. 10. Deadpool, another villain that shakes things up by not being able to be defeated and I enjoy his beat your score challenge.

I know I'm late but great list! I just happened to play Dr. Strange yesterday for the first time against Red Skull and Ultron in Commander Solo. Never looked at his deck before I played, but since I had painted the figure I wanted to give it a go. He is very powerful as in both games on normal difficulty I never took a single point of damage. I've only played about 5 games of Marvel United in total, mostly core set stuff. I missed the first two Kickstarters but joined in for the Multiverse and bought the promo boxes to try and catch up.

Marvel zombies is tricky to reccomend. Because its awesome. But that stretch goal box IMO is a necessity. And its going to be expensive to obtain.

I have to disagree with you on Dark Phoenix. She is one of my absolute favorite ones to play against and I love how she has so many unique ways that she alters the game state. I've played 4 games against her and won 3 of them. I always have a blast playing her.

We've yet to get a racing game but there are certainly some that you brought to our attention with this list; The Quest for El Dorado being one (We just need to check which version to get), and Thunder Road: Vendetta, which looks like it'd be great fun at a game night. Unicorn Fever stands out too as being very cute and a fun one to practice miniature painting with 😊 Thanks for the the great rundown.

Hi, Silver Surfer is pretty far out of the top 5. However, he is very good mostly because of the Location swap making him specifically great against specifics harder Villains. Dr.Strange is far out of the top 5, even the top 10. He's more of a mid or upper mid hero. The top character in the game is Dr.Doom.
