I think Radical Optimism is kind of like a lead up to an amazing album better than future nostalgia, especially since future nostalgia it’s hard to beat so people are expecting her to reach that level again but for any artist it’s hard to do that. Radical Optimism wasn’t a flop it’s just a album for the community closer to Dua.

I am probably in the top 100 of their fans to this day.. I honestly think Jesy had really the wrong people around her from late 2019 onwards and especially during lockdown which may have contributed to her leaving… there also seemed to be issues around Leigh’s documentary. I wish we knew the full story around them buying her out of the company, as in I believe she made them do that as the company would have had very little money at that time as the company would have paid a lot out for the tour… so I think the girls had to personally pay a lot of that money. As a big fan looking back, her departure seems to be to get ahead start being solo. It’s hard to see how anyone would have recommend this as a good idea but that had to have been recommended …. I don’t think Boyz was so different from the likes of Bounce Back, the black fishing hate was 100% there don’t get me wrong but made more of a big deal because of the LM Fans. The jingle bell ball performance… was not too far from how she always performed let’s be fair…. The hate train just took her out. If her second single was her first, I feel like this video wouldn’t even exist. THESE ARE ALL HOT TAKES. I don’t want to send hate to anyone. I deep down wish Jesy well even after everything, because she meant a lot to me for so much of my life.. I loved this video and every video with LM content. ❤️

My issue is that Arianna K Kardashian etc do the same thing but are they cancelled nope. But they make an example of Jesy. This was sabotage. Also I think people resented her for leaving. Jesy had huge potential IMHO she was a threat someone was not happy and set out to destroy. Yes her Boyz performance was not great however some people liked. In my opinion Jesy's snippets of solo songs and leaks are the best of all 4. She may not return but I hope she does. There is a whole world outside of mixers and the woke brigade

I could never honestly take to Jesy in all honesty. I have never been a fan of her voice, I felt like she went through a lot of men. When she Little Mix the way she treated the girls was so, so nasty. You could tell how much it affected the girls too.

jesus f Christ. after a sabotaged album campaign under syco already i would have thought they could have spared themselves sum. goddammit. whoever at rca planned the release date on the same day/tracking week as kylie's disco needs some retrospective disciplining. like, little mix and co were obvious in talks for hiatus by then- more than ever they needed a number 1 album to go out on for the historical records, therefore.

The issue with Jesy is, that both her band mates, specially Jade & Leigh Anne had conversations about her blackfishing while being in the band, but she refused to listen or change.. Fans of the band, the mixers we also raised out concerns, and tried to educate Jesy, and tell her, why it was wrong and that she should stop the heavy self tanning as she’s trying to change her appearance to come across as she’s a woman of colour, when she isn’t, she’s a white woman.. so we raised our concerns & we didn’t like what she was doing and called her out.. we were met with a lot of hospitality, she decided to not only delete alot of comments but she also blocked a lot of mixers, which meant that she didn’t care and didn’t wanted to change. When boyz was released, she was rightfully so accused of black fishing and also playing on problematic stereotypes towards black men. She then tried to act like the victim, acted like she didn’t know anything, and that no one had told her or had a conversation with her regarding this, which failed miserably. She was exposed and that’s why she flopped as most of the general public didn’t like her, and most of mixers also distanced themselves from her, like we should. She did this to herself

Fake tan is extremely common in the uk but what Jesy did is that she wore cornrows ( is that the correct term ? ), like box braids essentially, and used a historical black protective hairstyle as an aesthetic, fully aware that there was a black woman in her group. Yes you can fake tan but your race doesn't change because of that. Jesy is a white woman at the end of the day. Like if I was leigh then I'd feel so unheard and dehumanised by her, like using someone's elses race as a moneterial benefit and aesthetic is so tone deaf and disrespectful to what the minority races have faced simply because of their skin colours or features. And it doesn't even seem like she ( Jesy ) is ashamed of it either. I'm obviously not supporting her because of this and the whole fued in general but if she did make an apology then I hope that it's a damn good one. And the funny thing is, that I'm not even a person of colour, I'm a white person, like Jesy.

Dua Lipa is my second fave artist after Taylor Swift. Im very sad RO flopped, but lets be honest, RO wasnt it. It just wasnt anywhere near as good FN. I really thought she was gonna be back with a bang, but i was disappointed in RO. Houdini was a good start to the era, then it went downhill after that. I hope DL4 is a good comeback for her. She is a phenomenal performer. I want her to succeed.

Honestly Jesy was always my least favorite so I wasn’t upset by her leaving. Then when her and Nicki came at my sweet Leigh-Anne over a fake dm she honestly dead to me. Leigh has been my favorite since the beginning I love the other girls too but she always has a special place in my heart.
