Unreal. The only word that can I can put in here, along with. FINESSE. You are a gem JD, no question, sir.

Hey Justin, I just rewatched some of your old playthroughs and was blown away by the tone! I hope you don't mind me asking a quick question as I'm trying to breathe some life back into my old Axe Fx 2. Do you recall what you used cabinet ir wise? I tried playing around with the FAS Modern and the 5150 Block Letter with some Bogren and Jeff Dunne Irs but something always seems to be missing. Especially the FAS Modern always ends up way to thin and bright compared to your live tones. I appreciate any advice and hope you have a great rest of the week! Best regards from Hamburg Germany, Linus 😊

thank you so much for making this video! one question - how do you copy envelope data to your master sessions? And then get it so it's aligned to the midi/track? Envelope data is the only thing that isn't copying across properly

I honestly wish more bands did stuff like this. One of the biggest issues I've had with my own music is getting the guitar tone right. Yes, I know, don't compare yourself to others. But only being able to hear the final song with guitars buried in the mix behind a thousand other things made it difficult for me to imagine what I wanted my tone to sound like. Getting to hear the guitar raw and all by itself, especially for a song/album where I know I like the final product, is really helpful not only in getting the sound I'm looking for, but making me realize I already had it and just didn't realize it.

If they mean nothing let them go I can't remember what it feels like on my own I say nothing to prove they have capacity to Love anything but themselves But I believe in dinosaurs because I've seen their bones Keep digging for the skulls of good intentions and a selfless corpse That reeks of honest efforts to make things work Lost forever are our former selves Can you show me proof they ever lived Or are they tainted memories of a wishful mind That's looking for a reason to forgive If they mean nothing let them go Are those hands around the shoulders or the throat Or maybe a bit of both Try not to cringe at the applause of the opposition Your twice the fool and half the liar and they're on to you I say nothing to prove they have capacity to Love anything but themselves Lost forever are our former selves Can you show me proof they ever lived Or are they tainted memories of a wishful mind That's looking for a reason to forgive And I keep digging a search for peace It's just a shell with nothing underneath But I believe in dinosaurs because I've seen their bones So maybe buried evidence will tell me what I've always known If they mean nothing let them go Between the good and bad I'm stuck with what I know Lost forever are our former selves Can you show me proof they ever lived Or are they tainted memories of a wishful mind That's looking for a reason to forgive

I worked out how to play this song years ago (only up until the second chorus) and did a playthrough for KZbin. Unfortunately my guitar had old strings and I royally screwed the intro lead, so I took it down a while back. Though, when I first put it up JD was really nice and encouraged me through a comment, I'm glad we finally got a playthrough! I know JD didn't write a lot of this song but he did some really cool stuff for the band when he joined. It's a shame he's no longer in the band. Hope he's doing well :)

Hey Justin! Thank you for your videos, they're really helpful. I've been looking to buy a DMXIS, but I can't find it anywhere, I thing it's discontinued. Is there any alternative similar to the DMXIS? With its VST to control the lights with a DAW. Thank you again!

Hey dude! Yea it's been a while since this video but looking at the developer's site it looks like they've just replaced their devices and maybe software with something else. Check this link. It's the closest thing I found after doing a quick search on their site. www.enttec.com/product/lighting-communication-protocols/dmx512/open-dmx-usb/ You would likely need to pair it with one of their software. Not to say that it wouldn't work with another. Afterall, this is an interface so maybe it would work with something else. Hope that helps!

Maybe by chance you’ll respond… what sample libraries do you use for the orchestra/effects

Primarily I used East West Hollywood Strings and some Cinesamples libraries for some added stuff.
