Best metalcore album ever, as much as I love spencer(listened to them since their first demo) I still believe getting rid of Dave Sieling was a major mistake, perhaps their biggest. They just sung together so perfectly. I've never ever enjoyed a band with 2 lead-singers before(atreyu is about as close as it gets, but I dont consider brandon a lead singer he mainly just stuck to the chorus, maybe a bridge here and there) and every. single. song. on this album is a masterpiece because of it. idk maybe it was the circumstances that I heard it under at the time. But their back and forth duets along with the most unique guitar shit I've ever heard at the time. It was amazing. I still like INK, they'll always be one of my favorite bands ever, but honestly their music has become mostly a show, theres no emotion tied to it, It's become all about the "theme", so it seems atleast.

I disagree entirely! The new INK material is so unique. I love these old albums but there isn’t much that separates them from the endless sea of metalcore. Every truck in the book and the silver scream give us something that we don’t get anywhere else in the scene. (This is a friendly comment)

I Agree entirely! Bravo 👏been saying this forever. Remaster is really not good sounding. Spencer is a great vocalists and screamer but he couldn't nail those high vocals, they were made for Dave's style. It's a shame that the Remember Tomorrow boys pulled up saved Ink (their early material was definitely not the same vibe and was failing) Remember Tomorrow had Dave, JD, and Justin Morrow. When those guys came to Ink their sound changed for the good. Idk what happened with Dave but he's too talented to not be making music. I hope he's doing well wherever he may be.

Do you think we could ever get a back up vocals with guitar play through? Your screams/backup vocals are killer and they’re especially prevalent on this album. I’d love to see that.

@@JRN-ef1ww original is so much better in my opinion. The high vocal parts were meant for Dave Sieling's vocal style and Spencer couldn't nail it. Don't get me wrong spencer is great and can definitely scream/sing but he's trying way to hard on the remaster for the high vocals and it's just cringe.

These play throughs are fantastic man! It was great hearing The Safe is Just a Shadow tracks every night on the tour for the reissue a couple years back! The album actually got me in to heavier music.
