But I fell off 40k years ago and I can’t stand AOS. (No hate, happy people like it, but I don’t like the lore and most of the models) Though I’m definitely down to see some Warhammer Fantasy

I love painting EC. I use a base coat of screamer pink, then wash it using a magenta wash, layer down pink horror, then emperors children pink, lastly highlight with Fulgrim pink. It give you a bright bubblegum pink. I just use abandon black to clean up any mistakes on the trim, as I prime the whole mini black. As a 3rd dominant color for topknots and loin cloths I use Dark Turquoise from rouge hobbies pro acryl paint set. I then use some type of blue or green for the eye lenses, I just use whatever color I feel like.

I'll never understand GW's obsession with trying to astroturf certain Black Library characters into popularity through giving them miniatures, rather than making miniatures for characters that are already popular. The once instance where they have, the Gaunt's Ghosts box still sells really well because people are attached to those characters, but does anyone even remember Severina Raine? She was the last imperial guard girlboss character they tried to force into popularity, now it's Minka Lensk. We all know a similar unit with Ciaphas Cain would sell like hotcakes, but GW would rather try and force popularity than reward it when its earned. Also I've been waiting for the EC update since I got into the hobby in 2019, and it just really doesn't do it for me unfortunately. I can see how they appeal to other people, but in my opinion they really went in the wrong direction with them. I hate that they've decided that noise marines are now meant to be like heavy troops for some reason, why an army that is known for speed and litheness would have their main cult troop clad in heavy armour is a bit odd to say the least. I get they probably want to push the EC in more of a close combat direction, but I find whenever they do that they tend to just be playing second fiddle to Khorne and end up lacking in identity. I would have preferred they leaned a lot more into the sonic weaponry and bring back the sonic helbrute, give them mounted cavalry, and save the melee for a few elite units, rather than being for the troops. EC have always tended to be more of a shooting army in 40k, at least for the past few editions, and I feel like we lose a lot by the way they chose to make noise marines not the standard rank and file like beserkers, rubrics, and plague marines are for the other respective armies.

The only bits I don’t keep are a couple of mangled ones from when I first started, and even then I just turned them into a texture palette

This one really inspired me to try my hand at kitbashing again. Currently have three converted plague marines into some assault intercessors and i wouldn't have done it without your guidance in this video so thank you for showing me the way.

They actually had less games this year than last year. They got rid of Middle Earth, Song of Ice and FIre and a few others. :( Wish I knew you played Quar over at warroom! I am a Vegas Local i would have def went over and played.

That outro is so smooth. Good job. Also yeah that new Deathguard mini is really neat. I don't have a deathguard army or have interest in one, but that guy....I could have fun with that guy.

It is funny the way the world works, my first introduction to Quar was actually at the LVO in 2017 as Joshua did have a booth there. At the time I didn't buy anything but we had a demo of all the metal figs in a kind of underground tunnel system. Fast forward to the plastics announcement and that memory came flashing back and suffice to say my group that was there with me in 2017 all picked up the new plastics. I'm sure Joshua would be open to going again and having a booth! Keep up the great Quar videos!
