Just shows iron plates are for life ( not just for Christmas) and the best investment you will ever buy without your health all the money in the world is useless. Still have my weights and kettle bells after 15 years used daily and even though not as clean as was just as functional as the day I invested and probably worth more than I paid originally.

What was the dimensions and wood that u used?
@lukemathews1203 Жыл бұрын
4x8 for bottom two pieces and 4x4 for the middle. Plywood was called “AB Marine fir plywood”. I would highly recommend getting the strongest grade you can afford.

Curious how necessary the 3-in-1 step is. Wouldn’t the “lubricated” surface make it harder for paint to bond?
@lukemathews12032 жыл бұрын
The 3 in 1 really helped get all the rust off the weights. How do you think I should have done it differently?
@medicalchalupa99282 жыл бұрын
@@lukemathews1203 The way you did it is great and I bet the iron is 'healthier' now. Probably less chance of rusting in the future. I just got some plates i cleaned yesterday and going to paint soon. Probably skipping the 3in1 stage cause I'm a lazy bastard lol
