What are your thoughts on water based poly?? I hear the oil would cause some yellowing and i wouldnt want to mess up the looks of my logo on the platform. Also concerned about footing yet dont want the platform to feel sticky either...! Would appreciate any input!

4x8 for bottom two pieces and 4x4 for the middle. Plywood was called “AB Marine fir plywood”. I would highly recommend getting the strongest grade you can afford.

they're horse stall mats, you can get them from like tractor supply they're 3'x4' for $25 but he probably used a 6'x4' which is $45 and cut out 2 2'x4' pieces for each end.

what are the dimensions of that platofrm? im building one this weekend, a 6x8 and wondering if it's big enough! also how tall are you?
@lukemathews12034 жыл бұрын
Francis Bui I used two 4 foot by 8 foot, 3/4 inch sheets of plywood for the base of the platform, and then one 4 foot by 4 foot sheet for the middle! I am 5’ 9 and it works for me. However I would recommend building it a little bigger if you plan to use it for Olympic lifts like snatches and power cleans!
