CE has a total different business model than the majority of us. She is a high volume seller with several employees. Her Ave ASP on PM is $21 and has been for over 2 years because she admittedly uses the platform as her dumping ground for bad pickups. I don’t buy anything she sells for PM. She is more geared to EBay where her Ave ASP is around $38. She also undercuts comp prices and recommendations this to her followers. Your first instinct was correct.

What you said about perception is so so true. I remember sharing with my father in law who was a car & boats upholsterer in a wealthy area, that I was confused why someone would buy my higher priced PBK Christmas stocking and pass on the ones next to my listing at a lower price. He said “it’s because in some people’s minds they don’t want to buy the cheaper item because than they think they bought a cheaper item.” So people can perceive the value of their item to the price they pay.

I like the shopping videos too. Appreciate the pep talk! I put my closet on hold for vacay too then I heard another seller say never to do that. It was fine, sales as soon as I turned it back on.

Thank you, Amy, I went from a 6-figure income on Etsy to under $40,000 this year. The algorithm changed and my items that have been best sellers for years are no longer selling. I feel like a failure. You inspire me to keep diversifying. Poshmark and Mercari don't work for my handmade jewelry but I do sell stuff on eBay and Fb marketplace. Thanks again.

you should cross list to ebay! I used to only do poshmark and last week sold $1200 on ebay and 200 on posh, and i only have 500 items listed. you have amazing stuff and ebay just has 3x the amount of buyers posh does!

I am so with you - I tell myself not to pick up more clothes. I walk in to the thrift store and I can’t resist looking at clothes.

I cross list to many platforms. Lately I have been looking at my old items and putting them up on eBay auction. I start the prices low but glad to get rid of old items. Just make sure when the item sells to manually delete off of the other platforms as I find when items are on auction on eBay, they do not automatically delete off of the other platforms.

Great video Amy 💛 Your Filson sale was fantastic. I sold a Filson shacket in 2 days of listing - it was NOT in great shape a tear on the elbow, etc. etc. I only paid $2 for it and sold it for $65. Not a lot of money per the brand- but a decent profit due to condition. And I have you to thank for showing that “destroyed” bolo brands still sell - so THANK YOU ! Same here love to thrift ! I picked up a vintage Thalhimers fur coat in amazing condition for $10 BUT....no tag on what fur it is...I think it's mink. It does have the union tag and brand tag. But does anyone know if there's a way to know what fur it is? Thanks!
