so youre a scalper? i dont know why this video was recommended to me, i think reselling from thrift stores is ridiculous and only makes thrift stores more detached from the people theyre trying to help in the first place. i dont get how you can be so proud of yourself

I understand your perspective, especially when it comes to charity thrift stores. The Goodwills mission is to provide job training for people, so shopping there actually supports their mission. My perspective is that there are so many items donated each day and year, that there is more than enough for everyone. There are literally TONS of items that do not sell and end up in landfills or in other countries. We can agree to disagree, I hope you have a great day.

@@thriftadventure i do agree that the amount of waste is awful, but sometimes the profit margin on selling something that was considered fit for a landfill feels unnecessary and in some cases greedy. the market of reselling also becomes so oversaturated that thrift shops will continue to raise prices to try and cut out the middlemen, only to end up cutting out the regular thrifters and making resellers continuously up their prices even more than usual. im glad you understand where im coming from and i appreciate that youve taken the time to acknowledge it, im just still uneasy about the entire thing as a whole

You will see literal tons of items/clothing that is either going to a landfill, incinerator or possibly sent overseas for a poor country to deal with. Do you have issues with retail stores buying items at a discount then selling for a profit?
