Protect and serve cops should've helped her she told them she was a victim of domestic violence they should've helped just proves that if you're poor or lower class you are not important enough to keep safe or alive

Frankly, it doesn't even matter whether she was intoxicated or not. She was clearly disoriented, she told them that she was dehydrated, and she told them that she can't even see where she's walking because the lighting is so bad (which seems likely to be true, given the location). Even if she's entirely sober, that is an extremely dangerous situation to leave _anyone_ in, and I think arguably should constitute "a reckless disregard for human life." They had a responsibility to _make sure she was safe,_ and the condition they left her in (arguably forced her to be in) was _obviously not safe._ If even most ordinary people would realize that, then a cop definitely should know that's not OK.

Fortunately it's not all cops it's mostly the younger ones! Back in the late 90s early 2000s I had a X that was going to Walk/Hitchhike back to another city over 300 miles away, I refused to let her do it alone! We made it about 30 miles when we were stopped by an older Pennsylvania State Cop . He wouldn't take No for an answer he drove us almost 50 miles to the end of his territory, old school cops are different especially in rural areas. What these green cops did was completely inexcusable! We got 2 more rides a couple of girls in a 70s TA that fed us and the last ride turned out to be a Warden of. County Prison. There were good people at one time very few today.

Policing Code of Ethics As a sworn officer, my fundamental duty is to serve the community by safeguarding lives and property against threats that could take advantage of or harm members of my community or otherwise impact peace and order. I will uphold the Constitution and honor the rights of all to life, liberty, equality, and justice. I will never employ unnecessary force. I will respect the privacy of people and communities that I serve, and I will fully obey the laws that I am sworn to enforce.

I will live by example, remembering that my character and conduct, on-duty and off, directly influence the legitimacy of the policing profession. I will exercise self-restraint and maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, scorn, and ridicule and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others as well as my own well-being. I will never act officiously or permit bias or personal gain to influence my decisions. I will strive to protect the vulnerable from harm. If this fails, I will seek to identify and apprehend offenders, professionally and appropriately holding them to account. I will not solicit or accept any gifts, bribes, or anything of value from any person or entity that may create a perception of benefit or influence my performance as a public servant.

I recognize my shield of office as a symbol of public faith, and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I am true to the ethics of police service. I will not engage in or condone acts of corruption, take advantage of circumstances for personal gain, or accept gratuities, and I promise to intervene when met with any unjustifiable acts by members of my profession. I will cooperate with all legally authorized agencies and their representatives in the pursuit of justice. I know that I alone am responsible for my own professional performance and conduct and will take every reasonable opportunity to enhance and improve my level of knowledge and competence.

John, with all of the videos that you've shown on your channel, there's been so many where cops "find" reasons for arrest after getting a smart remark. This poor woman's only mistake was being nice. If she would have told the cops to fuck off, they probably would have a found a reason to arrest her. Her being nice is why they decided to let her go. She should've flipped them off, then she'd still be alive today.

This is way Qualified Immunity needs to be removed from Police. They need to be held accountable for their actions. Camera and Audio need to be on and a Law needs to be Passed and Inforced that they remain on at all times. As well as being worn by all Law Enforcement Agencies. All Settlements need to be paid from Officers Pinion Fund and not Taxpayers Money.

If they detained her, then they set the fact that she was either in danger, endangering the public, or endangering herself. Thus, they should have mitigated the danger by either giving her a ride or call somebody who could.

Once again, police in an effort to "safeguard" citizens take the path of beating up said citizen and arresting them....then claim that they were threaten because their victim didn't want to be victimized...and of course, the media parrots whatever narrative is fed to them by the police...who have the most skewed view of reality....SMH

To whom is the Department of Homeland Security accountable to, they are not accountable to the public. The Dept. of Homeland Security is run by un-elected bureaucrats, and funded by borrowed money, this is typical of all government. "The rich rule over the poor and the borrower is SERVANT to the lender" Proverbs 22:7 -- The owners of the world want to establish a new plutocracy, world wide and We the People are not wanted in their new world. Our freedoms are based on truth, but their empire is built on lies, which cannot coexist.

Asking a domestic violence survivor who is fleeing for their safety, “where are you gonna go?” Is so cruel… while denying any help. You CAN give her a ride. You’re just being awful. Many people treat victims of DV like this which is why they generally just try to fix their own problems. It’s cold and heartless. These officers we responsible for her death and literally predicted it “ you’re gonna get run over”… they should face consequences.
