Can I ask what iso ,shutter speed and f stop you used please
@JonSparkmanАй бұрын
I can't remember for this sorry! But probably the shutter will be around 1/125 or 1/60. ISO somewhere between 400-1600 and the aperture as low as I can get it.

fantastic video, just what I was looking for. Any reason why you got the larger size? Since your lens is 55m and then requiring an adapter.

For years, I waited patiently for Nikon to produce a full-frame digital camera that accepted my large inventory of Nikkor lenses. Eventually, I got tired of waiting and purchased a Fuji X-Pro1 to use temporarily. My favorite lens kit I used with my 35mm Nikon film SLR was: 24mm f/2 35mm f/1.4 85mm f/1.4 I tired using an adapter to mount the followng lenses from my Nikkor lens inventory on my APS-C Fuji X-Pro to duplicate my favorite full-frame lens kit: 16mm f/2.8 fisheye 24mm f/2 55mm f/3.5 macro However, I ran into a big problem of not being able to quickly, consistently, and accurately focus my Nikkor lenses on my Fuji X camera. Eventually, I solved the focusing problem by purchasing the following Fuji auto focus lenses: 16mm f/1.4 23mm f/1.4 56mm f/1.2

You as many others is confused with apertures, a 1.2 aperture is not a low aperture, it is a large aperture ! (The aperture NUMBER is low). 85/1.2 = 70.8mm which is the theoretic maximum opening of the aperture and therefor a large aperture. 85/8 = 10.6mm and a small aperture 😉
@JonSparkman7 ай бұрын
Yep - no confusion here. Must have been a misunderstanding. I refer to the low end as f 1.2, 1.4 etc and the high end at f16 etc. Common practice!
@cameraprepper79387 ай бұрын
@@JonSparkman You get folks more confused, as I wrote the 1.2/1.4... is a LARGER aperture than the smaller 8/11... that is why I did the math. Just look through the Lens at 1.2 - there are FULL open hole, at 11 the hole is tiny.
@cameraprepper79388 ай бұрын
I have heard many complain about the "slick" design, but when I got the Zeiss Batis Sonnar 85mm 1.8, I was surprised by how well it is build, I do not mind the "slick" design, but a AF/MF button and an aperture ring would have been very nice !
@cameraprepper79388 ай бұрын
The blurring on longer distance can be because the Lens stabilizer and the camera stabilizer do not work proper together ! It is also a problem with fx Sony 200-600mm. The Canon EOS 7D and the Canon EF 300mm 4.0 L IS also had a problem with the stabilizer on longer distance.

It is not the Zeiss Lens that have the "wrong" color temperature, it is Sigma !

I have switched to Sony! Sorry about that... But the 18-55 is a great all round lens and so lightweight.

Yes - I think the material creates a colour cast. I don’t think they control that too much in manufacturing however you’d need to contact them to clarify

Strange. I never understood the left hand handle. Together with the rails it prevents the most important action from taking place, that is focusing with the left hand. With a system like Fuji, where the AFC is broken, you (me for sure) need to have your left hand on the lens. Even the follow focus is weird, because I lose support while using it. Anything other than having my left hand under the lens doesn’t work. What you have here I call a “Sony rig setup”, where you can really trust the AFC and use a left handle.

Really like the style of your narration, so cool and calm. Makes it look so easy but I can tell you've got years of experience.Would you recommend a varied F-top or stick at decent DOF for some background definition? I find the church the hardest part of the day due to frequent dull light and lack of contrast available.
@JonSparkman10 ай бұрын
I use either primes or constant aperture zooms nowadays just to make the day easier. If shooting in a priority mode a variable aperture zoom would be fine
