I got the RR390 2023 and really love it, but I find the fork already very soft, it looks like the fork of the xtrainer... does the engine is more powerful? Does the geometry have changed??
@TommyNitro13 сағат бұрын
Is the fuel issue bad when compated to other carbs or just EFI? I'm torn between this or the 200rr. I'm also. Good bit heavier than a normal rider (closer to 90 kg).

Is it the power or gearing? Sounds like it's revving pretty high at 52mph. I mean I have a CT110 postie bike which will hit 60mph on a long straight and it has 50% less power than a KLX140 and weighs around the same.
@AaronsEnduroКүн бұрын
@@dune7824 the gearing on a ct110 is definitely longer than the klx 140. The 140 is a trail bike, where it’s important to have maximum torque efficiency. ie lower gearing. They’re not trying to squeeze maximum power from the klx 140 from factory as it’s geared as a beginners bike to learn on.
@dune7824Күн бұрын
@@AaronsEnduro Thanks mate we get the KLX150BF in Australia and the top speed is 66mph (gps verified) on the highway. Same engine as the 140 but with a 24mm carb in stock trim.

We got the 2024 klx 140L for my wife. The thing wouldn't idle from day one. The dealer ended up replacing the carb so we could adjust it. I put a 53 rear sprocket, and it is still geared way too high for her. I am going 12 on the front next and 54 on the rear. It's so gutless. She hates the bike so far. We went on our first real trail ride today, and it was not a pleasant experience for her. No power and way too runs like absolute garbage. I'm looking at the big bore kit and gearing it down more. She likes to dog paddle on the technical stuff. I feel like we really made a mistake buying this bike. I hate having to pour money into this just to make it rideable. There's not much choice at this point.

It looks like what Beta is doing here is freeing up a significant portion of their assembly line for the RX (motocross/hare scramble) version for 2026. The RR XPRO seems to have moved the old RR closer to the RR Race Edition (a compromise between the two). It is now the competitive enduro version. Come 2026 we're going to see the 125 RX, 250 RX (2T and 4T), 350 RX added to the 300 RX and 450 RX line up. Any bets on if we'll see a 200 RX? I am guessing that anyone wanting to motocross (or hare scramble, desert, cross country) race a Beta will snap up the RX models.

I believe this is a step in the right direction. I have a 2024 X-Trainer, for the seat high and size, but it is missing the power of my YZ405FX which the RR would have had. I am going to end up putting parts on this to move the engine to a RR, and stiffening up the forks for hair scrambles. My overall hope is this is that step between a full Pro race model and the X-Trainer, and the bike I was really looking for.

All similar issues with my 2017 Beta Xtrainer. But the Stock suspension is made by a company called Olle. They are barely any better than trials type forks (pogo stick). Ohlins, Sachs, MX Tech Lucky fork insert, basically anything would be superior to the stock suspensions. The rear shock is not horrible, but there a batter dampers out there as well. Expect to spend about $1000-2000 for better suspension. I have a GIANT beef with the BYO build your own Beta options. They charge retail for upgraded suspension, but you d not get to keep the OE suspension. Beta USA double dips on the component cost, although they do the installation. I went with fork tuning and springs before finally I gave up and got the MX tech insert for the fork and it basically transformed the bike at higher trail speeds. I have the Beta Race chock too. Nice upgrade but $$$$. There's no reason to spend the money unless you plan on keeping the bike for many years. I would say that for riders who have inseam challenges this may be the right bike for them, even though it will cost more than a300RR or KTM, it's a smaller lower bike that can be made into a fantastic trail bike.
