I had one, it was a 1999 3500 4x4 dually short bed with a 454, same color but it had graphic decal on each side. Same color with the pinstripes like yours. I bought it in 2002 had less than 30000 miles. Great running truck until one of the hydrolic lifters collapsed and I ended up selling it in 2008. It was a very solid and clean truck, interior was mint and leather like yours. I do miss it

Sometimes the reason that something is rare is because it's stupid and impractical like your truck. Duallies are for hauling and towing a lot. Short boxes have less cargo room and are less practical for towing large fifth wheel trailers due to limited turning. Therefore it's idiotic to have a short box dually.
@devont3336 ай бұрын
I’d way rather maneuver a big gooseneck trailer with this, turning radius is much better than with a long box! I’d rather have a single cab long box dually myself. Thank you for your opinion!

The ccsb 2500/3500 were offered to compete when Ford Superduty rolled out. Many company's liked the increased legal capabilities for insurance reasons. Tighter turning radius with bumper pull, Dump/equip trailers.
@lylehart37445 ай бұрын
@@wyattgardner3552 not many. Very very few which is why they are rare. Like I said originally it was rare because it was stupid and undesirable for the vast majority of dually buyers. Yes there's always exceptions to every rule but unpopular option packages are economically unviable for auto makers. Most people who need a tighter turning radius are going to shorten the cab by going with either a standard or extended cab instead of the crew cab because ultimately their needs are primarily cargo and towing not passenger space if you need passenger space and a dually most people are going to accept that to get all of those things they're going to have to sacrifice turning radius.

You might have a leak in the rear brake line that could possibly keep the brake light on but those are idiot lights. To make cold starting a bit easier dump some fuel in the flow tubes of the carburetor. This will full the bowl and you can pump maybe just once or twice. Dumping it straight down the carburetor doesn't work to well especially if that electronic choke isn't working right. Still looking good. Maybe one day I can come see it in person.
@galenyoung83496 ай бұрын
That's alot of, trouble to pour fuel down it. Take a zip tie and tie the choke, OPEN. If it's been sitting, "yes", fill the bowl if you can. I've always ran a 400 SBC before I learned fuel injection. Once you spin the engine enough to get fuel up there, per se? Crank it a few revolutions, pump 5 or 6, times. Crank it just enough to get a lil gas in her. Pump the isht out of, it. Keep bumping it over a a spin or 2? Pump the isht out of it. (6 or 8, squirts?) Even in the winter time I could start my ol truck pretty quick with this, method. Once it fires up? Keeping it running comes with KNOWing you engine & experience with feathering the accelerator a lil. Or, you can chunk that electric choke and put a hand choke on there. I had a 68 C10. I could pull that choke and it didn't matter, circumstance, that 327 came to, life. My ubolts that held the lower control arm on kept breaking. The rivet that held the retainer to the frame? It wasn't riveted to the frame on one side. (31 years ago)
