I first found this poem in 2014, after my first major heartbreak. I related so well to every word, every emotion portrayed in her performance... It's 2024 and I find myself ever so often returning here... And every time, it feels like I relive a little of the hurt

66 comments? T S Eliot Cat's got their tongues I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing. Whisper of running streams, and winter lightning. The wild thyme unseen and the wild strawberry, The laughter in the garden, echoed ecstasy Not lost, but requiring, pointing to the agony Of death and birth. T S Eliot. East Coker Whom chose it? Names were added as my older foster family passed. Yes we all go into the dark.

Beautiful. Thank you 🙏 Maybe we teach, by example, first, that there may be a difference between a block hustler and an African Tribesmen. Perhaps by dancing around a fire fearless, triumphant and free 🙏😑

I am an avid #MentalHealthAwareness advocate and spoken word performer, and I love this so much. I travel the country trying to bring that awareness on stages, in classrooms, hospitals, and on my KZbin channel, so I get excited when I see other advocates. 💙❤

I started listening to this poem when I was in high school, the year this video was posted. All these years later I can’t help but keep coming back to it. It’s a tonic for my deeply anxious soul.
