If I had the $$$ such as Power or Mega I would love to do that on a large number of acres. the house will be 285' by 60' 1. master bed. 2. office/library/den. 3.room for home schooling. 4.2 rooms big enough for 6 or so bunk beds. (To Adopt.) 5. big kitchen/living/dining for the big family 6.2 lane bowling alley. 7. work out room [to keep the kids active.] 8. a room for pool tables/dart boards. [with enough practice the kids could go pro in bowling/pool/darts.] 9.40 seat movie theater (I guess that could be the living room). The water will flow into a large cistern, an overflow pipe into a fishpond. Use that water for a garden outside (bees.) solar grid and wind

Okay. Let me get that straight. He did spend $33,000 with no bathroom & no proper plumbing. Where did the money go to if he didn’t had to buy the wall building materials? Sorry. Something is missing. Is the price for the lot included? I’m asking because I’m building a 160m2 house on my own. I got all the materials for the 2 level building and didn’t spend $18,000 yet. My roof will be another $1,500 - $2,000. That makes it to $20,000. This includes all my tools, concrete mixer and my property fence. Did he spend $20,000 for the solar system? Sorry. Adobe must be really expensive to build. And I mean really expensive. I have to add: I am building in Panama where materials are more expensive than in the USA.
@holgermessner8513 ай бұрын
Just watched this. Not into Adobe. I’m building with concrete blocks my house in Panama. My idea was to build with aircrete a dome house. Didn’t got a building permit for that. 😢 I was told to use local materials. Still I am building a circular house. (Yes. I have to stand my ground. 😂 ) But I decided in the middle of the construction, to put another level on top. (My son lives in Germany. We had a discussion about the Russian aggression in Europe. So I just said to my son: If it gets worse in Europe, just get a ticket and come to Panama to sit it out.) Now the local people thinking that I built a castle and call it that. Last delivery papers showed as address: Calle de Castillo. Well. That’s how rumors starting…. 😂 Always looking to get some inspiration from people who thinking outside the box. Nice video.

this dreamhouse of natural materials costs more to build in europe than a classic cement house . to have all those workers a loan must be made and between materials and workers ...that's impossible on a low budget. so this trend is impossible to pursue .much more when it comes to law aprovals ,,,that's the end of it

@@Jh-yi8gc What makes them “not off grid”?
@Jh-yi8gc4 ай бұрын
@@TheOffGridGuru they need supplemental energy to cool their home, so they aren't totally off grid, I also believe they're connected to the water utility as well. That's nearly like a regular home.
@TheOffGridGuru4 ай бұрын
@@Jh-yi8gc I don't know of any properly built passive solar buildings (regardless of design) which require supplementary cooling systems. Cooling systems can be passive as well. However if they are "active" = requiring power, you could easily run them during the day using excess power from your Solar system. As for being connected to municipal water (as opposed to rain water harvesting or well) I do not know the regulations in their area - but often times if you are within the service area of a water company you may be forced to connect to their services. Are you planning to build?

How thick is that wall? I’d like to see more walls being built with hempcrete that are not 12” thick….this looks to be a bit thinner….which means it’s a good use case for retrofitting walls.

Old tires leach petrochemicals, rubber compounds and all kinds of heavy metals (including mercury and lead) into surrounding soil and groundwater. A tire, even partially, submerged in water will kill most aquatic life within weeks. Plants will absorb these pollutants, so eating anything grown next to an old tire is literal poison. Don't even use the plants for composting for the same reason.
