I currently have stock plugs as well as gapping i am getting ready to replace them ive heard stock gapping has been fine but depending on how far the heat discoloring is up on the plug i might go one step colder. I hope this helps !

I just purchased a leftover Moonstone Gray 24 GTI S, deeply discounted, (5K off sticker). As an old guy over 60 years old, I have no issues with the infotainment system, the auto stop/start is the only item I disable upon start, and climate control is not that difficult, knobs would have been nice but not the problem some make it out to be.

I still really enjoy the short throw shifter , the only adjustment i have done is elongate the throw instead of having it on the shortest throw (Because of my Revin Shifter unit) if i hadn't gotten the aftermarket shifter assembly it would still be on the shortest setting.

Nice! I see that revin unit is kinda like a gearbox setup I had from ktuned in my RSX-S before I sold it. I'll def need to research on that then. Would you say it paired with the CTS short shifter gives a rigid feel in a good way? My Ktuned setup had solid bushings and it made a world of difference. Sorry about all the questions I just got my MK8 a week ago brand new and I'm itching to do so much already lol Loving the VW community there's videos and write ups for just about everything!

I just bought a '24 GTI Deep Black Pearl SE,. I love it, even with the quirks! Did you know that the Eco mode turns off the "Start Stop" mode. This is great for city driving for sure.

The cabin is not bad at all it’s enough to hear when you get on it . I’m still stock Downpipe the only drone I notice is when the car is cold and I’m right around 3000 rpm but even then it’s not bad!

i want a mk7.5 golf r because i cannot afford the mk8.5 golf r. i thought about getting a gti but i think i will regret not getting the R but the gti used is way cheaper and im not rich.

Honestly I would hold off my opinion on that would be to keep the 7.5 r I wouldn’t go from an R to a GTI . I also agree that you’d be unhappy going to just front wheel drive . The 7.5 r is a plenty capable platform and still looks so good and aggressive !

I don’t have any experience with the touring so I can’t say for sure , I really like the track setup for me personally it’s just right but I would imagine if you’re just wanting a bit more than stock that should be perfect.

Do you still have the short shifter in there? I have the holy shift shifter kit but it's still sloppy and miss shifts. Idk if I can add this kit on top of that or if it's best to return to stock.

You would be able to add this on top of your holy shift kit. I do also still have it installed and I do like it over all a very nice unit. It’s kind of a PITA to install and setup but once it’s done and done right it’s awesome.

@@alexg4083 I love my s2000 but it’s definitely just a weekend car for me I have my GTI for a daily it’s definitely more comfortable better on gas for the commute and one hundred percent better for my daughter !

Nice video. This helped answer a lot of questions I had when considering cost to build. Since you did all the work yourself. How many hours of labor did you put into your build? Including, paint, welding, coil over install, etc.

I didn’t keep track of most of that , but having done this a couple of times now if I had all of the parts in front of me and could dedicate say a 60 hour work week to it I feel confident I’d be done in about 4 weeks so we will call it 220-250 hours but this is also with the help of my wife. The coilovers I spent a solid 5 hour on cutting cleaning and welding up . I do know a couple companies make kits that don’t require welding they are full spindle replacements. You could say some time there. Paint I’d say four days including bondo prep primer paint and clear. If you have any more specific questions by all means reach back out. I’m glad this video helped you out !

I ordered and returned the diamond headlights. They were really nice. But the beams were so so far off it was stupid to drive at night. To far to the left and to far to the right. I am looking at these. Hopefully they are good.

Hey all im not smart wit cars. I have a 2022 q3 but gas is too much in CA. So i got a vw taos 2024. I am in the process of wanting to buy a gti, gli, golf r MAYBE. Or tiguan/ atlas. My question is should i just go for the speed stock? Or if i get an atlas / tiguan can i mod it to get more speed ? MPG wont matter much since the taos is my daily. OR do i just save and get a better car? I really prefer vw because my luck has proven very well with them. I drive to Az' nevada and may go further from california . Thanks in advance!

You said e60 was the threshold to run the tune, but from what I’ve read you can run stage 1+ + uniflex with any % ethonal you want? You can run it from 93 at the gas station all the way to e85 let me know if I’m correct

Agree on the AWE track exhaust, I just installed mine yesterday and the drone isn’t that bad at all for the output it has. I like the fact AWE gives you the option to make it a touring exhaust if I change my mind.
