Its analog fpv, its almost always like that. It also could be cheap goggles, voltage, and yeah, bad antenna

I was flying from my car and this is a drone designed for racing so it has stubby antennas and a low power vtx. Also as the other comment stated this is just how analog looks lol

I will make a binding video but you don’t usually bind elrs through a button (but you can, I never have) all I do is go into betaflight and put my binding phrase into the box under reciver tab in betaflight and it should just work. Additionally try setting your packet rate to 50hz, because otherwise it would not bind for me.

Check the other comments and I will make a bind video, tldr is that for elrs, you want to bind using a phrase for best security and reliability. I will make a video soon showing how!

As far as the vtx (video transmitter) goes all you need to do is match the channel and band on your googles and drone and you should have video. As far as the drone goes, this can be done in betaflight under the video transmitter tab, just select a band and channel and also set it to max power for the most range. Then match that channel on your googles. Unfortunately it’s different on every set so I cannot really help but if it has an auto scan feature it can be useful in this situation

As Brandon mentioned below, this was when I had a cheap low performance module for my googles. Now that I have rapid fire, I have no issues and the vtx on this drone while not anything special is fine for what it is, expecially considering this drones price

Yea the analog video transmitter is weak even after unlocking it to full power. The hdzero one would be much better. As I mentioned in the video, the quad flys decently, it’s just this specific old video system that makes it bad

100% Agree. I have had many of the same problems that I should not have had for the price.

Don’t be too sad, it’s still a really great drone deapite its shortcomings and expecially for a beginer, its durability is truly very good!

I have not had this problem with that exact reciver however I have had this issue in the past. Unfortunately my solution was just to buy another reciver. Thanks for commenting!

Try a lower packet rate if it's not binding

Thanks for commenting! Good luck with your flying and one piece of advice is that good controllers and googles will last a really long time and will be cheaper than buying many cheap ones. For example, my fatshark dominators have been going strong for 5 plus years and so has my dx6. Now obviously I have gotten new gear (still use the fatshark for analog but I also have dji now), but there’s nothing stopping me from using my old setup and tossing an Elrs module on my dx6. It just goes to show that even though that equipment was costly, it could even still be used today, and similarly is why I recommend that you get a good set from the start.

​@@fpvcentral2807 The video feed is no joke. I lost signal in my own yard, I disarmed it after about 5 seconds of blindness when punching out didn't help. Ended up three houses down under a neighbor's car. Thankfully nothing was damaged.

​@@fpvcentral2807just putting an update here. It seems as though spare flight controller ESC stacks are completely unavailable for this drone on the website. So once you crash hard enough it may well be your last. The remote failed after one month of use. I tried to fly through the stick failure and ended up crashing and frying the whole flight controller. It was an amazing learning experience, but I don't think I can do anything to repair it without a stack from Emax.

So for me I noticed a huge boost to flight time and performance despite the fact that I was using larger 1s batteries. Anything from 300-900 will be flyable (I have tested up to 2000 and got 15 min of flight time). I recommend a 450 as it’s a good balance between flight time and performance but you could go smaller for higher performance or larger for more flight time, it just depends on what style of flying you do. I have not but I do seem to be getting more range when I turn up the vtx, indicating that it is transmitting more than 25mw but it’s possible my is locked so I will have to do more testing. Thanks for the comment and for bringing this up to me!

Yes I noticed also. Though they always used the aio for the digital version so they could fit the larger vtx. Personally I prefer the split stack so if anything explodes it’s cheaper and easier to replace that one part. The 2050kv motors would rip though. Overall I like this quad a lot other than the vtx it’s a bit lacking. Flys great though!

Yes and no. This quad is designed to be a toothpick so the smaller motors make it lighter and have a really quick response because it weight so little. You could build one with 2205 motors on 6s (I have) and it flys really well just different. It’s a lot heavier (3x) but ends up being faster and imo more fun to freestyle due to its mass advantage. So it’s kinda a preference thing. I like heavy quads with lots of mass to throw around as I find it more fun to freestyle but others disagree. I think another interesting question would be keeping everything the same but adding a 6s battery (with lower kv) and seeing how it flys.

Hi thanks for commenting! Could you please elaborate on what you want to know? It sounds like what you are asking is how to bind the drone to a controller? If that’s what you are asking then all you have to do is download betafight, go to the recivers tab and input your binding phrase into the box. This is like your drones pass word and any controller with the same phrase will bind. You also need to do the same with you controller but in order to do so you need to download elrs configurator and input you binding phrase there as well as your RX brand and model and your world region so it will transmit on the right bands. This is all for elrs but if you have a different recover type the steps are different.

@@fpvcentral2807 How do I know when the 1S batteries are charged? They have had a solid green light for 1 hour since I turned it on. Where there is no battery the green light flashes. Where I have both batteries installed it is a solid green light. When the charge is finished, does it turn a different color or does the green turn off? They have been charging for 1 hour

@@BertoLaredo yep that could be right it just depends on your control link and protocol.

@@BertoLaredo Honestly without knowing the charger I can’t really tell but based on the information provided I would guess that you have to wait until the green light flashes. These chargers can often be slow and confusing but if your in the market for a new one the vifly whoop stor is a good choice that never gives me problems!

Yea they make really nice quads. Especially their micros. They fly really well and I find that they last a really long time and are super durable. I with they got into the tiny whoop space. Thanks for the comment!

Yea especially for the price I don’t think it’s worth it a ton. The one this it really has going for it is it is really durable but that’s it. Ranger performance and flight time are all mid. Hope you enjoy your Cetus!

@@fpvcentral2807 it’s just whatever screws hold the propellers in place for the Tinyhawk 3 plus freestyle. The ones in the bag don’t seem to be working and I was wondering what I was doing wrong? 🧐

My solution was to just use other screws that did fit but if that’s not an option for you make sure to align the screw with its screw hole and apply a lot of pressure whilst driving the screw. Other than that I don’t really have any other device… or the original screws to test with. Best of luck!

Thanks for commenting! I think that it is alright but it kinda struggled with the lighting conditions imo. I also could have configured it a lot better but I am no photography professional so I just left it at default. I still think that outdoors because of its fov it produces stunning shots with the best stabilization out there that gives it a really solid flow. The only place where it gets beat by a GoPro is the color science is not as good but once again unless you are a pro it’s not likely to matter. Overall it is my cam of choice for both indoors and outdoors as the only thing that is feature comparable (in size and weight with a battery and adequate durability) is the GoPro session and that gets beat no question asked by this camera in quality.

Unfortunately I don’t have it but regardless it is not a good mount as it was sized improperly. Flywoo has some proper fitting ones on their website or you can find them on thing verse if you want to make your own. Thanks for commenting!

Thanks for the info. I apologize for being unclear. I was just describing my experience that on a larger platform in a given space you will be more likely to crash due to faster speeds and larger size. For me at least flying a 2 inch quad in my yard is easy whereas flying 3.5 inch is very difficult and often results in crashes.

@fpvcentral2807 never had the 1s. I only have a eachine uz65 1s. And I don't see very well with analog, maybe it's my cheap goggles?) But many because I just can't get enough flight time out of any battery I try. I land when they get down to 3.4 at the lowest, I storage charge them. I personally haven't had much luck with 1s whoops. But I do like flywoo's stuff, I bet it moves!

Yea the signal is rlly bad. It’s kinda confusing bc it’s markedly worse than the older model I guess it was for cost cutting. Also it’s important to note this video was recorded on fatsharks with a rapid fire module so the quality only degrades more unless you have the best. It seems like they focused on the digital version and forgot abt the analog version lol

I turned up my analog video transmitter to 400 mw in BetaFlight. Before this on my maiden acro flight I went blind and sent it 3 houses down and narrowly avoided property damage. If you have a lot of batteries you'll want to be careful flying too long due to VTX heat. I have 4x 1S packs so I can fly 2 sessions at 2S. I may buy a 3rd pair, but even then I'll have to be careful of VTX heat and may need to take a break to cool it down.

Interesting. I have not thought to try that. I don’t t know how much of a benefit it would serve as I think the issue is just a poor tune from emax. Playing around with I was able to remove some of the issues like bobbling at low throttle. It really seems like emax did a bad job tuning. Thanks for the comment and support on the channel nel. Yes the Mobula 8 Has turtle mode. Any brushless drone will have the ability to enable turtle mode. To enable it simply have the compatible hardware and go into beta flight and set a switch or button to turtle mode(its called crash flip in betaflight) and it will work after you save.
