I tried that after the review and the video still was not very good. I have other 400mw vtx which go 50-100% farther. For the price I would expect it to be a quality one but it does not seem to be. Thanks for watching!

I'm having trouble connecting the video transmitter. About the drone six months ago, I couldn't find any videos. I see a lot of you in this comment. Section had the same problem. Is there any video that could help?

As far as the vtx (video transmitter) goes all you need to do is match the channel and band on your googles and drone and you should have video. As far as the drone goes, this can be done in betaflight under the video transmitter tab, just select a band and channel and also set it to max power for the most range. Then match that channel on your googles. Unfortunately it’s different on every set so I cannot really help but if it has an auto scan feature it can be useful in this situation

new to fpv, i bought this tinyhawk 3 freestyle hdzero bnf and have been flying it for a couple weeks now. I am thinking of soldering on a xt30 connector to just run 2s batteries and i am wondering how much better performace/extra flight time(if any) does 1-2s lipo have over the 2-1s lipos. also is there a certain 2s mah battery that is the best to use with this quad. i know you mentioned 350 and 450 but it comes with 2 650mah 1s batteries so would a 2s 650 be a good choice? atm i have no 2s batteries just a charger for 2s-6s so id like to buy a bunch of the same mah 2s batteries at one time

So for me I noticed a huge boost to flight time and performance despite the fact that I was using larger 1s batteries. Anything from 300-900 will be flyable (I have tested up to 2000 and got 15 min of flight time). I recommend a 450 as it’s a good balance between flight time and performance but you could go smaller for higher performance or larger for more flight time, it just depends on what style of flying you do. I got one of these Instead of buying a more expensive controller for the simulator first. I'm about 7 hours into DRL Sim on PC with an XB1 controller. The first 2-4 hours were frustrating, and I was keeping my sessions short. Now I'm finally starting to get the basics and have some fun. I want to get away from the XB1 controller so I can build a more accurate muscle memory.

Thanks for commenting! Good luck with your flying and one piece of advice is that good controllers and googles will last a really long time and will be cheaper than buying many cheap ones. For example, my fatshark dominators have been going strong for 5 plus years and so has my dx6. Now obviously I have gotten new gear (still use the fatshark for analog but I also have dji now), but there’s nothing stopping me from using my old setup and tossing an Elrs module on my dx6. It just goes to show that even though that equipment was costly, it could even still be used today, and similarly is why I recommend that you get a good set from the start.

​@@fpvcentral2807 The video feed is no joke. I lost signal in my own yard, I disarmed it after about 5 seconds of blindness when punching out didn't help. Ended up three houses down under a neighbor's car. Thankfully nothing was damaged.

​@@fpvcentral2807just putting an update here. It seems as though spare flight controller ESC stacks are completely unavailable for this drone on the website. So once you crash hard enough it may well be your last. The remote failed after one month of use. I tried to fly through the stick failure and ended up crashing and frying the whole flight controller. It was an amazing learning experience, but I don't think I can do anything to repair it without a stack from Emax.

I got one recently and it's been a real pain to get flying right. Poor instruction manual meant I had to troubleshoot why it wouldn't bind because they didn't outline a simple setting. No hex driver to attach the props is a weird move (how much is a 1.5mm allen key Emax?) And my vtx or antenna has a problem, it's barely flyable. I swapped antennas with another drone which highlighted the antenna as the problem so I have to buy a new one, but might just upgrade the vtx as well. I also found the tune to be unstable but haven't been able to fly it enough to experiment with changing that. When I get it flying properly I'm sure I'll enjoy it but for the price I expected it wouldn't need fixing right out of the box

Great review I'm wondering if switching to lighter props would help with prop wash. Something like Gemfan 2540 ?? Interesting to see if it would help. I know the Gemfan breaks easy so you need lots of them. See you on your next one. Cheers

Interesting. I have not thought to try that. I don’t t know how much of a benefit it would serve as I think the issue is just a poor tune from emax. Playing around with I was able to remove some of the issues like bobbling at low throttle. It really seems like emax did a bad job tuning. Thanks for the comment and support on the channel nel. Yea the analog video transmitter is weak even after unlocking it to full power. The hdzero one would be much better. As I mentioned in the video, the quad flys decently, it’s just this specific old video system that makes it bad

Nice vid! I just receive mine. Did you have to unlock your vtx. Mine seems to be stuck on 25mw. Awesome flying!

I have not but I do seem to be getting more range when I turn up the vtx, indicating that it is transmitting more than 25mw but it’s possible my is locked so I will have to do more testing. Thanks for the comment and for bringing this up to me!

Hi I've watched all the reviews on this drone and the bad things you mentioned about the drone such as the battery life and range seem to be alright in other people's reviews. Do you think you got a faulty model?

It’s possible but I do think some of the issues are def real. For example the tune issue was in others reviews nick burns for example but others like range weren’t. The battery life is most likely due to my smaller battery’s that I am using. I have some 650s ordered. Mabye I will do a follow up. I do think the range is just poor as the output power is little and outdated. I have not been able to actually fine another review of the analog though so if you have lmk. For the price tho these issues imho are not acceptable. For example I have a similar quad from flywoo what was the same price but has a 450mw vtx.

Yea I found the video and I also noticed the lack of interference. The only difference I could notice was that he was on raceband1 and I am on raceband8 this on some vtx can cause a loss of output power due to the higher frequency. I personally use it bc it sits above WiFi so it yield less interference. I will try next flight and get back with results!

I have this in the rtf kit ( learning kit for my son ) can not get any signal on the stock whip. Out of the box we’re getting about 40ft before we lose video

Yea the signal is rlly bad. It’s kinda confusing bc it’s markedly worse than the older model I guess it was for cost cutting. Also it’s important to note this video was recorded on fatsharks with a rapid fire module so the quality only degrades more unless you have the best. It seems like they focused on the digital version and forgot abt the analog version lol

I turned up my analog video transmitter to 400 mw in BetaFlight. Before this on my maiden acro flight I went blind and sent it 3 houses down and narrowly avoided property damage. If you have a lot of batteries you'll want to be careful flying too long due to VTX heat. I have 4x 1S packs so I can fly 2 sessions at 2S. I may buy a 3rd pair, but even then I'll have to be careful of VTX heat and may need to take a break to cool it down.

Hi thanks for commenting! Could you please elaborate on what you want to know? It sounds like what you are asking is how to bind the drone to a controller? If that’s what you are asking then all you have to do is download betafight, go to the recivers tab and input your binding phrase into the box. This is like your drones pass word and any controller with the same phrase will bind. You also need to do the same with you controller but in order to do so you need to download elrs configurator and input you binding phrase there as well as your RX brand and model and your world region so it will transmit on the right bands. This is all for elrs but if you have a different recover type the steps are different.

@@fpvcentral2807 How do I know when the 1S batteries are charged? They have had a solid green light for 1 hour since I turned it on. Where there is no battery the green light flashes. Where I have both batteries installed it is a solid green light. When the charge is finished, does it turn a different color or does the green turn off? They have been charging for 1 hour

@@BertoLaredo Honestly without knowing the charger I can’t really tell but based on the information provided I would guess that you have to wait until the green light flashes. These chargers can often be slow and confusing but if your in the market for a new one the vifly whoop stor is a good choice that never gives me problems!

Can you please tell me where the bind button is? I bought mine from Amazon and I see one on top but everyone says it's on bottom. I looked underneath and can't find one. Would that be it?

I will make a binding video but you don’t usually bind elrs through a button (but you can, I never have) all I do is go into betaflight and put my binding phrase into the box under reciver tab in betaflight and it should just work. Additionally try setting your packet rate to 50hz, because otherwise it would not bind for me.

Yea especially for the price I don’t think it’s worth it a ton. The one this it really has going for it is it is really durable but that’s it. Ranger performance and flight time are all mid. Hope you enjoy your Cetus!
