They were a really tight band. They had played thousands of hours together, in Hamburg clubs ^ , Liverpool long before they were famous

Yoo bro, you brought me into the channel with this one! Love the reaction, love SOAD, altho this song is behind my favourites (probably can't rank the top 4 but pref Chop Suey, BYOB, Aerials and Toxicity). My suggestion for next videos other than the rest of my SOAD favourites would be Sleep Token's The Summoning and Take Me Back To Eden!😄

Title of song is "Animal" (singular, not plural). Another DefLep song you might enjoy which never gained much air play is "Die Hard the Hunter" off the Pyromania album....one of my personal favorites. DefLep always strived to display positivity despite the challenges the band faced. This is depicted regularly in their lyrics. I think this is one of many aspects which made them so successful, as well as audience relatability to their songs.

The video doesn't show much of him but Billy Preston was on the electronic piano. He was considered one of the Beatles.

If you want to hear Paul's 'rock voice' check out "I've Got A Feeling" which is also from this rooftop session. In all honesty if you only thought The Beatles were a rock and roll band you're misinformed. They were certainly classified a rock but they have many different sounds and influences in their music catelogue.

Paul joked about how he didn't "get" to play guitar in the band. It sort of explains why his bass lines are so melodic and adventurous.

More of the Beatles would be nice. The Beatles weren't around for that long, but as time went on, they added more types/genres of songs to their repertoire. For the first few years that they were making records, their music was pure, classical rock and roll. Actually, that's the type of music that first made them famous. They are: John Lennon: Rhythm George Harrison: Lead Paul McCartney: Base Ringo Starr (Richard Starkey): Drums In this number, their friend Billy Preston is off to the side somewhere with the organ.

Paul can play multiple instruments and has on many Beatles songs before his solo career! He plays lead guitar,rhythm guitar,bass,keyboards,drums and more!

More Beatles? Definitely! Preferably a lot more, because they have many good songs and have a wide variety of sounds, so you have to hear quite a few of their songs to be able to hear the many different kinds of things that they did. Since you call yourself "Metal Teen", you should hear "Helter Skelter", which is a precursor to metal. But also check out their early stuff, their folk rock, their psychedelic rock, their rockers, their ballads, etc.

The Beatles aren't a band you head bang to. You can get the from a lot of less talented bands. They make music to listen to.

BACKGROUND INFO for the SONG: Written by Mark James in '68, it is based on one night when James was fooling around on his guitar & came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James' wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." This performance is part of the famous DVD entitled "That's The Way It Is" which was filmed by MGM over 6 different shows.

Ringo and Paul are both left-handed, and both played the drums. Ringo used a right -handed kit, which in part gives him a unique sound.

Billy Preston on keyboard, the only artist to get label credits with the group. Billed as The Beatles with Billy Preston on the #1 hit in the USA called Get Back😮😊Billy would make music history after the Beatles broke up by becoming the first recording artist to hit #1 with an instrumental and then hit #1 with a vocal hit.😮Billy Preston/Outa Space (instrumental)😊Billy Preston/Will It Go Round In Circles(Vocal)😊ENJOY!
@Cbcw767 күн бұрын
He didn't receive credit at the time and not for a long time. Heck - the film's director made sure the cameramen NEVER included Billy's face much less his hands and voice singing and playing. Even with the "restored" footage, Billy's only briefly shown because the cameramen were told not to video him. Stupid record label restrictions. Clapton didn't on WHILE MY GUITAR, nor did Nicky Hopkins for his playing. Of course, George and Eric used a pseudonym for George's guitar playing on BADGE during the concert and recroding of Cream's GOODBYE album. There's footage of those concert nights but the cameras were shut off when George is brought out, as well as the audience reaction's being sliced out. None of the other celebs that appeared in the ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE were credited.

Very good commentary. This is the last live performance - cold, lousy speakers, upstairs from their studio - impromptu performance for people walking down on the streets wondering who the hell is making that racket? Police called, and you can see them in the background. Other Beatles song - Live version of HEY JUDE on the FROST TV show. As well live - QUEEN live in Montreal "SOMEONE TO LOVE" both great live performances where the talent comes through. The stops between the song to comment are great/ Don't listen to others to have no commentary until the end./

Odd lyrics. For a song that promotes "A love that lasts forever", why is the chorus "Don't let me down"? What happened to the "the love that has no end"?

The algorithm will reward reacting to the Beatles end-of-career music, but the musician and music lovers will be far better rewarded by starting at their beginning and devouring whole albums.
