Does the Zoom let you play multiple patches at once? I've never had any interest until seeing your video. Always yearning for TE-2 though. Wicked video, as always. Sounds gorgeous!
@kevinaaronson10 сағат бұрын
Yeah 5 I think, but can be less if you push it too far. Think the HD reverb is the big one that limits the amount of effects in series.
@pedalgaze6 сағат бұрын
Thank you!! Appreciate your support! Yep! You can actually do 6 at once but like @kevinaaronson said it has a processor limit which can limit the number of patches used. I think there's a document that has all that info but is not a deterrent for my use. Also, this multi stomp is hacked and can download any patch from any Zoom pedal using the zoom effect manager. I can go into more detail if you like but I would check out the www.reddit.com/r/zoommultistomp/ for more info. One last thing to note. Only the old versions can be hacked so keep that in mind. Cheers!

@akleperp8 күн бұрын
@ I set it up kinda like I would a DMM and then push it into "broken DMM" territory! Just some mellow delays, about as long as they go without getting too glitchy, just enough fuzz so you know it's there and just enough modulation to make you question if it's a regular delay pedal that's broken or warped.

Does anyone know if the TE-2 has analog dry through (like the DD-3) or does it convert the dry signal to digital (like the PH-3)? BOSS being BOSS, this has been impossible to find a clear answer on.

Great question. I'm not sure. I've tried looking into it as well and couldn't find anything definitive. I'd assume if they didn't mention it in the manual then it doesn't but I'm not sure. I would try to contact boss directly.

I have an RV-200 and can't seem to replicate the shimmer effect that you are getting. Granted the RV-200 doesn't have a tone knob, I turned down all the way the param knob but I'm nowhere near what you achieved. How much of that UA Dream 65 is into the mix? Thanks
@pedalgaze29 күн бұрын
hmm. I would try to turn the high knob all the way down. I believe that's what the tone is doing when turned fully counterclockwise. Hopefully, that would cut the high-frequency octave stuff and leave you with pillow-like reverb. Best of luck

@theodorsloth2194Ай бұрын
The dynamic reverb into distortion (try it) and the shim algorithm with tone all the way down are the two gems in this reverb pedal for ambient musicians, even though the reverb has not the density of some more expensive pedals. The real disadvantage for serious ambient music ist the much to short decay time. So you have to put a delay bevore the RV-6. The DD-8 is nice for that job, because it also has some nice algorithms and stereo. But if you do not have so much money and space on our board and if stereo is not so important for you, then buy a true ambient reverb like walrus sloe, obne dark star or similar that does not need an extra delay for long decay.
@pedalgazeАй бұрын
I definitely will try distortion with the dynamic mode! I'm also really enjoying the modulated and delay modes but I agree that the decay times are shorter and can be a hindrance in some cases. had a blast a few videos ago combining the dd-8, rv-6, te-2 for never-ending ambiance! You also can't go wrong with Old Blood or walrus especially when it comes to ambient and ethereal. they are the masters. and the last thing, one of my favorite ambient reverbs is on the bitquest! and snagging the eproms with the atmosphere algorithms on it for black Friday last year was awesome. So cool they made those available. Cheers!
@theodorsloth2194Ай бұрын
@pedalgaze Your video about the te-2 was the reason why i bought it again. I had already one years ago but sold it. This is a very unique pedal. The DD-8 and DD-7 to my opinion are the best available delays these days. They give you over 6 seconds delay time in stereo and twice as much in mono. You can use them as frippertronic machines. The shimmer algorithm of the DD-8 bevore the RV-6 in dynamic mode is great for ambience. If you like stereo, try electro harmonix' operation overlord for this or two different overdrives for each stereo channel.
@pedalgazeАй бұрын
@@theodorsloth2194 Ahh That's awesome to hear. Thank you. It is such a unique pedal. totally agree the dd-7,8. They've hit the sweet spot in terms of functionality and usability. I recently got my hands on a dd-20 and will echo the statement ;) that it is one of the greatest out there and it has 23 seconds of delay time which is absolutely perfect for ambient stuff. also interesting idea about the stereo drives I'll definitely give that a shot! cheers!

@onlyusernameleft2Ай бұрын
RV-6 with the tone down sounds like a new, yet to be named effect created by Boss. It works like the DS-1 tone knob, clockwise for bad tone and counterclockwise for good tone. The modulation and feedback on the RV-6 shimmer algorithm are weird. It's the least favorite of all my shimmer effects. Too bad because the DD-8 has a shimmer that sounds gorgeous.
@pedalgazeАй бұрын
@@onlyusernameleft2 yeah totally. I don't really have a use case for shimmer in general but I love the tone-down setting at the end of my chain! I have another video where I use a dd-8- tera echo- RV-6. It sounds so lush and stacks beautifully with other time-based effects.
@onlyusernameleft229 күн бұрын
@@pedalgaze shimmer is fun to play around with and make pretty sounds but I don't use it in song writing either. I spent a while looking for a shimmer type effect with a controllable pitch and I ended up with the EHX Oceans 12 which has pitch shifted verb and also the best standard shimmer I've heard so far.

"Sets the amount of resynthesis feedback across the digital signal processor (DSP) and the EQ control. Adding feedback yields different effects for different algorithms. @pedalgazeАй бұрын
I haven't used the Astral Destiny but what I can gather is that it has more tweak-able features. for example, you can control the rate and the depth of the modulation, presets, modes, and secondary footswitch for different functions. The soft focus is more of a replica of the yamaha fx 500 patch that bands like slowdive used back in the day. It's like an instant shoegaze vibe without having to do much to get there. Hope this helps. Thanks!
