When i was little I thought Matilda was about a really smart little girl, now I'm older, i realise that Matilda is actually about children fighting for their rights and freedom when they are treated badly. When Matilda started School, she realised the children and Miss Honey were being mistreated by the strict and abusive head mistress and decided to change things for the better. The song "Naughty " is about Matilda saying, if people are treating you unfairly its ok to get your own back on them. Miss Honey's story also shows a beautiful story of a past survivor of child abuse who wants to do her best to look out for children and be kind to them, she sees her young self in Matilda and Matilda feels noticed and loved by Miss Honey, Miss Honey eventually adopts her and gives her a better life, the life she knows children need . Its funny how much you realise about stories when you are older. Also, when i was younger this song was just a funny song but now i notice the very important, hidden meaning ❤
