It's so hard to truly appreciate this song unless you see it live. Most shows have some kind of effect where you see the letters visually as they're sung throughout the song. A lot of shows have blocks that get pushed out with the letters, one I saw recently had these really glowy letters on cards, it's truly mindblowing.

I went to see this show live. The songs were okay but this is the one that stuck out to me the most. The song is pretty cool itself but as they were singing two boys were climbing up the gate while letters from the alphabet were being pushed into holes in the gate beneath them and each step they made they stepped on that letter. It was a truly epic sight to witness, the rest of my friends just talked about Mrs Trunchbull and such afterwards so I didn't bother to bring up this musical number

We did this show at my school and it was so much fun. It was raining and we were all running around barefoot in the rain singing Bruce, and nowhere else would it be so socially acceptable to burst out singing in the rain. It was so much fun but we got in trouble for being all wet when we had to go on in 20 mins. We all ran to the school bathrooms and used the hand dryers to dry our hair before we changed into our costumes. Revolting children was the best song we did but the entire play was just amazing. A lot of us actually cried after the last show and now because of coronavirus we probably can't put on a school show, which is really upsetting because the play is the highlight of my year.
