Great video, but if I were the customer watching this, I'd wonder why there wasn't a soft towel or something under the grill when laying face down on a rusty tailgate while working on it.

@@Toca9990 yup that’s the plan. I have a good bottom end 2f and now the 3fe top. Just makes sense to do. Just didn’t want to split 2 good engines to do it originally

Very helpful! Couple questions...#1 is replacing a 62 dash roughly the same process? #2 Do I need to attach the replacement in a certain order to reduce any pressure that could cause future cracks? #3 Should I place the dash replacement in the sun or warmer environment to allow for pliability?
@mizeadventure9438
@mizeadventure9438 2 ай бұрын
62 is basically the same just a different bezel. And different location of screws. Not sure of a way to install to prevent future cracking. The suns going to hit it regardless. A little heat might not be a terrible idea. Just take your time.

Hey so I’ve seen you desmog a few 2Fs just wondering if you’re recurving the dizzy off camera or if that’s not always necessary? I would like to desmog my cruiser but not if I have to ship my dizzy off for a few weeks to be recurved. If anyone else has the answer that’d be great.

Hey man, you would make good money offering complete wiring harnesses for 60/62, I know i’m not the only one who had a pain in the butt trying to workout all the old cooked cables in my LC. By having all that experience, you can get it sorted out and get someone to make them for you just to distribute. TLC4x4 posted about doing something similar but for LS conversions

You're my favorite TLC builder on here. I can actually do this stuff myself but I am not tackling an 80 series chassis under a 60 series body. And I am not spending $300k to have some boutique fabrication shop do it either. Keep going, bro!

I am assuming that you broke in the camshaft....... Also those flex fans don't always cool that great. think of going with a clutch style fan with a shroud for best cooling. I would have to go back to some earlier videos to see if you talked about what bellhousing to trans adaptor and clutch you are running. Can't wait to see more of this build. Have a great week. Tom in ND.
