I worked there summer 2018 and 19. It was really fun and the the natural surroundings are beautiful. I tried to apply again and got informed that I was put on a do no rehire list. I wasn’t sure why this would happen since I consider myself a pretty response person, I’m a father, husband, business owner, I don’t drink, etc. the pay was trash but you don’t go work there for the money. I went because of my passion for skating and working with kids, I worked many years as a camp counselor at a local park in Miami. My impression is that the skate program heads are a tight knit group of functioning alcoholics and drug users. A lot of the kids were nice aside from some entitled little shits. Some of the conditions like bathrooms and cabins were questionable, not a lot of emphasis on cleanliness or hygiene considering how much ppl pay to send their kids, I’d be pissed if my kid got foot fungus from the gross showers which is what happened to me.

I worked at Woodward at Lake Owen in 2011 and 2012. It was a small Woodward camp in northern Wisconsin, Best summers of my life. And when powder bought out the majority shares in our camp, they immediately shut it down and that was the end of a Midwest, in the woods Woodward. If you're reading this, go look up some Woodward at Lake Owen videos and show some love! I'll definitely be taking my kid to Woodward.

As a 38 years old man that used to skateboard when I was younger, I rank Baker, Flip, and Zero as the best skate decks at my time. Mainly, for this simple reason, in southern California at the time, most local skate shops only sold skate brands that they knew would sell. Not to mention, you always had local skateboarders that only wanted the best skate brands available so the top 3 skate decks that was in almost every skateboard store and sold the most during my time was Baker, Flip, and Zero and I would like to give an honorable mention to Toy Machine because I used to hear alot of good things about them but I never had the chance to skate their decks.

The 148 and above thunder trucks with the regular cast plates aren’t 48mm high, they’re 52mm while the forged ones are 51mm high. What you were feeling with those grey 148 thunders was probably just all in your head, as the thunders you showed also had the team cast baseplates. They weren’t any lower.
