Another way could be to use a small hydraulic jack. Balance the tire with one hand in the cup and the other to line it up and you can adjust weight and slide it directly on. I havent tried it but just an idea.

Try and lift a mud tire 15 inch wide with rim about 150 lbs. Those jeep tires are much lighter than most mudders. Tires alone are 90 to 100 lbs then add the huge rim. I wish mine were as lifht as yours.😅

Great video. I did something to my left arm before Thanksgiving. May have been the 80 ft lbs with the torque wrench. May have been lifting the tire. Wished I'd seen this video about 40 years ago.

Thank you so much. I wished I had watched your video instruction before I rotated my 33-inch tires on my Jeep tonight for the first time. You made it look so simple and easy. Especially the rear spare. I figured I would have to have someone help me put it back up if I ever needed to change to a spare.

Ma'am I'm new to my 2024 Gladiator rubicon. I have factory installed rock guards installed on the pinch weld under the doors with Stock bumpers. Can a high lift jack be used on the rock slide guards? I hope this makes sense? The factory jack is used under the jeep on the axel. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks for making videos without all the fluff. Very informative.

I cannot tell you how much this has helped me! I have an SUV that I switch out summer and winter tires, and I always have to rely on someone else to load them in and out of my vehicle. I saw your video and decided to give it a try. For reference, this is a pretty big SUV with 37 inch tires with rims attached and I am 5’7, 130 pounds and I did it! The guys at the garage were so impressed that they didn’t charge me for the actual swap out. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much!

Hi, I'm Italian and my English is not so perfect, the only thing I didn't understand is when I use the lockers does the Sbar have to be connected or disconnected or does it make no difference?

I’m 1800 miles into a ‘24 Willys, thanks for the explanation. I have yet to actually hit the dirt roads as the areas here in Southern California have been shut down because of the fires but doing a trip to Central California soon and would like to get on some fire roads, and around a little bit, I appreciate the axel locker sway bar tutorial makes sense thanks

Great video. I just got a Rubicon and I'm guessing the rear axle will "sway" more than the front when the front sway bar is not disconnected, however, when the front is disconnected the reverse is true?

Great video and an excellent explanation of these features on the Rubicon - thanks. I've just bought a Rubicon and your explanation is WAY better than the one provided by the dealership. Probably because you've more experience of using the vehicle seriously off-road than the salesman is my guess. I've now watched a few more of your excellent videos, they're enough to make a UK resident like me very jealous, but I've subscribed for the how-to lessons and great advice you give - thanks again

Hello Ms Barlow. I love your videos. Im from New York City, but have more of a country side mind set. I have a question about airing down tires … What psi do you recommend airing down tires to if you are going on sand? I have a 2023 wrangler willys 4xe. Thank you and have a good day.
@jamesthiel59222 ай бұрын
Thanks Nena! Probably the best video I’ve seen explaining and demonstrating the use of the sway bar disconnect and lockers. I still have a couple of questions though. 1) when to use just the front locker, just the rear or both? So, you can only disconnect away bar before you approach obstacles, but lockers can be done on the fly as long as you’re in 4L?
