Thank you for the lyrics (along with the translations). I was reading about a soldier who was wounded in Northern Ireland, in a novel by Rosamunde Pilcher, "September." He said the pipes and drums of the Highland Regiment would "pipe the lament at funerals. 'The Flowers of the Forest.' The saddest sound on earth." I had to find it and see what that was about. Very hauntingly beautiful. 💔
