We shall sleep, but not forever, There will be a glorious dawn; We shall meet to part--no, never, On the resurrection morn! From the deepest caves of ocean, From the desert and the plain, From the valley and the mountain, Countless throngs shall rise again.

Thank you. Had not heard this hymn before, but was just talking with someone today about when Jesus said regarding Lazarus and the little girl He raised from the dead, that they were sleeping. He was not lying. For those who are His, death is but a temporary sleep, and the resurrection is coming soon. But how tender Jesus is that He too feels the pain of a death departure, that even He wept at Lazarus's tomb, though He knew the time of Lazarus's resurrection was very near.
