If you do this, does it measure the same way? If the recipe calls for 6 cups of black, do you measure 6 cups of puree?

Jelly is JUST the juice! Jam is juice and pulp. I dont use my Kitchenaid strainer cuz the seeds will absolutely clog it up!. Btdt.

Oh it don’t stink that bad!!! I’ve used it for years and I suck as a gardener! Because I heard of this stuff when I was a teenager in Oregon! Every few weeks use it with gal water . Little more when they start producing fruit!

I have wild blackberries growing in my backyard. They are just beginning to ripen. I have picked a little more than a quart in the last couple of days. I hope to get enough to make a couple of cobblers.

Also a good idea to paint the pvc so that the UV sun does not degrade it that fast so it lasts longer. Also the PVC comes in 10' sections but you can cut it shorter for a lower profile and to use less plastic/cover.

Can you save the pulp after seeding in order to make a cobbler? I make them with the seeds but would love to figure out a way to de-seed them & keep the pulp. Thanks!

I wasn’t sure which way to flip the ribbon and I kinda wish you specified how long the starting piece should be, but this got me closer to making an actual bow out of wired ribbon than eight other videos have. ThNk you so much and Merry Christmas!

Thank you for the clear and concise directions and video! I have made soap at least 100 times; used to sell it... but I quit selling about 6(?) years ago, and have taken a break since then. Now getting ready to make my first batch in several years and just needed a quick refresher of procedires and safety. I always mix my lye water outside too! Pretty fun in Minnesota winter! 😂

For next time just a teeny bit of advice(not being mean)….but I had to keep rewinding it over and over because you go too fast for someone to follow along making a bow with you lol

Great job! I have found that if I fill the bottom with crunched up brown paper or paper bags first, it gives more stability; then I cover that with a layer of tissue paper, put in the goodies and fill around with the shred. Shred adds to the cost so I only use what I need to around the goodies. I hope this helps someone who is trying to keep cost down. Thanks for sharing. I love your tips!
