Electric wiper motor is easy to locate for '57-'59 Fords. '55-'57 Chevy used the same electric wiper motor. They were made by Trico as a dealer installed option.

WOW, ] hope he finds a "serious offer". Looking at maybe 16g from NADA have to take off for rust, paint. Lose value for 6cyl and 3 speed. What ever is wrong with the engine will need fixed also. Hagerty does not "give" him as much. Neat car but 4 door wagons with a 6 and three speed are just not that sought after. Best of luck to him, hope he finds the right buyer.

my reality is the yes, if i put 22k into a restoration and then five years of my labor that yes, it should be worth at least that much, but if you are the type that thinks you're intitled to down play some one else project so that you look like an expert, you're fooling noone. Now if you are an expert on reality, check out Hemmings cars for sale and enter 1957 Ford Country Sedan. If you read the descriptions of each section on the car, view the photographs you may being to appreciate the efforts of others and maybe then you can offer something other than negativity to those who may be contemplating a restoration project started with a junkyard example.

When I was 5 years old , my Dad did advertisement for the Quincy Patriot Ledger. He had me and my 2 sisters in the back with back seat down and the family dog. We set up plastic bowling pins. And the play was so much room in back you can use it for a bowling. The dealership the add was for. Was Jannell Ford on route 18, So. Weymouth Mass. We actually bought one. Was that sorta pink creamy and white 2 tone. Those were the days. I just looked up Jannell. They started in 1921, and are no longer in So. Weymouth , but moved to Hanover MA.

Best not to refer to it as rust free, something I really know about with 57 Fords. Also expect that engine/trans will be changed because its really really boring power in that heavy a car. As an old car collector myself, I would never knock your car because I wouldn’t appreciate that myself. I can see that you are very proud of that 57 wagon, as you should be. It is a nice collectible car but with its current body condition, it will take a lot of work and money to get it in a show condition therefore it is between 3 and 4 condition. In reality, if you look at the Old Car Value Price Guide, they are not talking near that much money for that condition. If you are actually serious about selling it, you need to educate yourself about the current value I have owned many old collector cars that were the apple of my eye but when I went to sell it, I found out, to prospective buyers , it was just another old car. Thank you for saving that 57 wagon from the crusher ! Good luck !

smokey, thanks for the 'make sense' comments you make....keep this in mind, to find a 57 Ford in the great original condition it is rare.. most of these cars that have not been restore, will need REAL work (replacing rocker panels, lower quarters, headlight areas etc....trust me, i know my 57 fords. All the commenters about the engine noise have never owned one or heard one in person. One the camera makes it sound louder than it is. Two. the 223 is a solid lifter engine with valve clearances no different than a 235 Chevy of that era. They tick. They're supposed too. An occasional routine valve adjustment is normal maintenance for these engines and may be in order post break in on a rebuild. Bet if it was a 70 Boss 302 Mustang or Z28 idling in a video you wouldn't hear anyone flapping about the lifters.
