It's really wild how many people have such vivid memories of this TV show. How to make you realize that those TV executives are just a bunch of boneheads after all because something that only ran for five episodes that is so vivid in people's minds four decades later. probably would have been a major hit.

This came out not long after the 1980 "Shogun' miniseries, so this reminded me of the main character John Blackthorne's experiences in early 17th century Japan, especially since the warlord is dressed like a samurai. I wonder if this took inspiration from 'Shogun'

I remember watching this as kid...................back then, I thought there were far more than just 5 episodes! Sure seemed to last longer than that. Should've been a bigger hit!

I wore out playing the theme song on my cassette recorder. I think I taped it back to back several times so that I could keep listening to this (Night Rider's song too). I was 11 and the show made a big impression on me. So sad it was only 5 episodes. I'm glad other people felt the same way as me.

I know for a fact that there was at least one more commercial with these characters. There was one where the Klidian Warlord had a space ship. I remember it sounding a little like a TIE fighter. I don’t think it’s Mandela Effect.

I remember watching this. It was a good idea for a show. Its too bad it didnt catch on. I always thought Judson Scott (who almost always had been cast as villains) had a fascinating presence.

Instead of NETFLIX or Disney or MAX, etc remaking BELOVED classic cult films, how about a high quality remake of this show, they can even cast an Egyptian actor to play the main character. IMO there's A LOT of potential in this show's storyline and premise
