Very useful but very annoying to have background music through the whole video.

It's really annoying thing. Sony can't just get it fixed like how Canon does it. The only thing I can do is to disable the customised buttons for pressing left, right and down. Whoever designed this is an engineer rather than a photographer.

Thanks for your info! I've actually just purchased the a73 and trying to find a video on best most intuitive custom function settings for event photography. Wonder if you have a vidro or what youve found is most useful? (Ive just learned also about the need to lock the wheel settings that avoid accidental changes while shooting, so that knocks out some usefulness it seems)
@chermontro6 ай бұрын
Also as I'm brand new to this camera, a73, is it mostly just the main wheel that gets bumped would we say, or people find it easily happens in other areas too? Having the handy dial to adjust ISO seems so convenient, but if thats the culprit im tempted to reset that one if doable to somewhere else, or just lock that wheel 🤔

OMG this is exactly what I needed! I often shoot silent in locations that have LED lights and the A7R3 does not sync when shooting silent so I have to manually dial the exposure time... if I select the wrong time, the LED refresh rate will create banding. Sorted!

Hundreds and hundreds of RAWS to toss because it without warning starts bracketing on me, because the camera is so small and dainty that I can't pick it up without pressing something. Having my doubts now using Sony as a field camera. Bad design.

HI! Great video. I have a question about the ISO auto min SS function. I love the idea of this but when I set it to 250 and my ISO to auto ISO, even in AP and P mode, my shutter speed is still jumping down to super low shutter speeds like 1/30th of a second. Any idea why? Its kind of breaking my heart!

1 stop better iso and a bit better video, these are the only advantages a7iii has.

Im looking to buy the a7riii for weddings as well landscape…i know this question may be common but can you recommend one lense i can get for this camera!? At the moment i’ll only be able to purchase one lense for a small wedding I will be shooting (also my first) but I am at a crossroads with this.
@wfp93782 жыл бұрын
I thought I was the only one facing this. Here is the solution. Go to the Custom Key settings (on A7iii it is the "camera2\8th screen\top menu item then page 2) and turn the LEFT, RIGHT and DOWN buttons to OFF. Ypu can find "OFF" by scrolling to the 19th and very last menu for assigning functions to the buttons. I access the drive mode and ISO only through the "bump proof" Fn Menu. It's a lousy compromise but it sure beats swearing at your camera and the useless software engineers who obviously don't use the cameras as working professionals and don't care. I sold my Nikons and Canons as they took 5 years to decide to take mirrorless seriously, but never encountered anything as inane as Sony's menus and lack of intelligence in programming them. The lenses are fantastic, but the bodies....oh my.....

I do real estate photography and you wouldn't believe how many times I bump the Aperture Wheel knocking my Aperture from F8 to F11 and never notice it until my shoot is done and then I have to reshoot the rooms where the change to effect. The company I do the photography for requires everything to be shot at F8. Your video is a game changer for me so Thank You!

For a slightly lower priced used Sony FE 50mm f/2.5 G vs this 55mm f/1.8 zeiss, which would you go for?
@raulmedina62232 жыл бұрын
I was on the same boat, I went with the 55 only due to the f1.8, I wanted the 2.5 due to the size with my a7c but decided to go with the 55

@@raulmedina6223 do you hear any noises from your 55 when focusing in AF-S focus mode and Aperture priority mode setting aperture to F11 or F22? Do you hear any noises when adjusting and changing your aperture? Something like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqqwc2iGqKhkhdU

I find myself using the lock the controls constantly when shooting in the studio. I don't want to accidentally bump something and see the ISO or Shutter Speed change. It works like a champ for me and now I don't have to worry about my exposure changing when shooting tethered.
@KdubLA Жыл бұрын
I agree. This function works so dang well to help prevent iso, shutter or even slight aperture changes. You dont realize how much your fingers touch the dials in the middle of the shoot. However I never have the issue of any of the other buttons being pushed and messing things up for me. This feature works very very well for the dials. If you were to lock absolutley everything then you still couldnt navigate around making neccessary adjustments when needing without having to stop and hold the fn button etc. So this seems to work well for what it does. Not sure why kevin feels this doesnt really work still.

Thank you for the video. I am thinking to start doing vlogging, but i am really in tight budget and has no knowledge on this things. I have sony a6000 that i can use. Is it possible to just use the camera itself without external microphone? I just try to record something with my sony, but i can't hear anything on the camera itself (i think i should move the video to computer to hear what i said?) Sorry if this is so basic questions 😂

I have been really interested in purchasing this app. But if you wanted to move away from Narrative Publish in the future, you'd have to go back and manually upload the photos because the script wouldn't be active anymore is a little daunting. You just never know what other programs are going to be made in the future that could potentially surpass NP.

Depends what you want for end result, if you like details in Landscape on large prints, the a full frame high megapixel full frame Camera are the best, if you only do smaller prints then APSC Cameras are good enough.

I have the Sony Zeiss Sonnar 55mm 1.8, it would have been much better if it had an aperture ring, I hope for an upgraded version with aperture ring or a similar Lens with aperture ring.

Hello friend, one question, do you recommend the Sony a6000 for long streams, I have a little doubt and fear since I do live streams on twitch and they are long maybe 4 or maybe 6 hours and obviously the camera will be connected to a fake battery connected to the electricity all the time, that's why the reason for my fear when streaming I don't know if the camera overheats they told me that the Lumix G85 doesn't overheat in video and I don't know which one to choose I would appreciate it if you gave me your opinion, I hope see your answers, thanks.

Unfortunately I'm not the best person to answer this question as I've never attempted to live stream that long with it.
