FYI, the roof on the sides needs stepped flashing, something AC guys miss 98% of the time. Eventually roof will leak. Is real world wattage less on these that are inverter driven?

Trane QC sucks. Gotta check solder joints on back sides where it’s hard to reach and make sure they didn’t leave extra pipe hanging down coming off of reversing valve allowing it to rub on others and starting a leak.
@BigPMachinery

What about the lack of air turnover capabilities? Or ease of repair? Or cost per BTU? Or ease of maintenance? Not to mention their own inherent problems. Did they provide normal 1/4” service ports or 5/16”? Did you take the initiative to add in your quote extra time to remove the threaded attachments and solder them? As far as inefficiency goes, installing a new unit will naturally have more efficiency just because parts are being made without over engineering anymore. That has positive and negatives but it effects all systems world wide. Also, air leaks wouldn’t be an issue with proper duct installation and care. I’d rather pay a duct cleaning company to clean my duct work every 5 years instead of changing a head because daikin decides to use thinner copper evap coils and charge the same price. Edit: work looks clean from outside would like to have seen the inside.

I understand your concerns, i definitely would not install these in every single house. This house was a manufactured home and the layout was perfect for a multi zone system. The condensor came with 3/8 & 1/4 conections and i flared them all. I have sold like 5 of these Gree multi zones and all of them no issues so far. There is alot of electronics in the condenser, the troubleshooting doesnt scare me, what freaks me out sometimes is if parts were to be back ordered, living in AZ i would have a really pissed off customer 😫 With any new AC of any type, i always push a 10 year labor warranty because quality control is a hit or miss now days 😅 I recorded a video of the whole installtion and deleted it because i didnt like it 😂 ill do better next time hahah

@@HeavyPressureHvac I understand, mini splits have a place in life. In my opinion though, they are as useful as an economizer. Special use case only in my book. I just don’t like pushing for something this without explaining, at the same time, why and when it should be an appropriate response. Either way, seemed like you had a quality install. Hope you’re at least out there getting that work and staying busy. Would like to see pictures of the evap heads though.

I like Trane and ICP products. You be surprised but Payne packaged heat pumps are solid. I use them here and there, price point is decent. Look into the Bosch inverter splits; 15 seer condensers, i think youll like the price. I like Bosch but only paired with an Ecobee Premium Tstat and a 2 stage airhandler. Otherwise no. The ecobee tstat has tons of feautures where you can make a Bosch work awesome. I tried the Gree flexx, but i preffer Bosch.

Hi, can you pls give more detail info about the capacitor issue with this machines, you mention the herm and fan are switch. Is that correct? I just instaledl a Runtru heat pump package unit 5 ton, and I feel the compressor is making too much noise, I did order a noise dumping cover (blanket) for the compressor, hopefully it will reduce the noise. The other issue I am contemplating is that the unit is not level. But, like you said it does have more airflow running inside the ducts. Thanks for such a great video.

The fan will come wire incorrectly. i haven't seen this issue anymore but its super easy to catch. If you go where the outdoor fan is, and you can feel the air blowing out towards your face, then more than likely youre ok, if the air is pulling towards the unit you have a problem🥶 The compressor blanket will definitely help 😎
