People need to,get out of the mindset of cashing out of gold and silver imo it’s designed for a store of value when the shit hits the fan cash is trash ( toilet paper ) what does your 2k in gbp actually buy you now answer next to nothing. The globalist are in trillion dollars of debt that can’t be paid back banks have the power of bail ins now which mean they can freeze your accounts for emergency measures to raise liquidity. The end game is they want a CBDC central bank digital currency this will track and trace your spending habits and tax your individual digital carbon footprint wallet each time you eat to much meat or have to many holidays abroad. This is where gold and silver and precious metals will become extremely valuable for trading goods and services amongst each other. See between the smoke and mirrors and the end game they have lined up for us all.

I have assorted Kangaroos from 1989 to 2024 and like yourself am always happy to add one when the price is right. I am missing 3 Buffaloes from the series, but being the same design every year, they are getting a bit boring. And since Kangaroos are considerably cheaper, I think they are a better buy. Buffaloes are more popular in the United States, but those of us who live elsewhere have a vast array of other possibilities.

well.... I think you need to decide what you will use your silver or gold for before you make a value judgment. If you want a denser store of value or pay less premium on spot, than gold is great. This is simply logical because the lower the price per weight/purity, the higher the premium. Example, look at the premium on copper bars. I think conflating expensive and affordability is the flaw to this conversation. Silver is very affordable and much lower vs gold when considering all time highs, has potential monetary and industrial utility, and is easier when considering divisibility. It is also very affordable as a smaller denomination barter/currency instrument in extreme economic crisis times. Cambios in Venezuela accepted silver (and gold) quickly turning the PMs into USD or VZB.

So why do we have to pay 20% tax on a silver Britannia when it also has a face value and is deemed currency??

Hi MDS, Ask HMRC but broadly speaking that is VAT which is a tax on purchases vs CGT (Capital Gains Tax) which is liable on profits from disposal of an asset

Fantastic good luck! I like to look at proofs but overall I stick mostly to bullion. There's a few proofs that I've bought on past videos including the 1989 4 coin set and some of the more recent special design sovereigns. Just feel like there is more risk with proof coins due to the premium to buy them

No sales tax on any billion in my state, but after a certain amount, reporting on sales is sent to the IRS unless it’s a few rare options. However the premiums on AGE’s or Gold Buffalos just feel like a tax. So I stick to our $5 commemoratives. Low premiums and also 22 Karat. Britannias are much cheaper premium option for us here. Great info and love the sovereigns! -PiFS 🐀

I like the sovereigns because they are 22k I like to hold my gold. I have to buy pure gold here so they get scratched when I hold them but I still want to hold them. Even pamps I just take them out of the assay. I wish it was 22k so I could feel better about holding the gold and stacking it in piles.

I have a couple 24k coins(Britannia,Weiners) I keep in an quarter oz eagle tube with all my assorted other 22mm 22k coins (mostly sovereigns, eagles, krugs), they seem to have held up pretty well although I haven’t put them under magnification I’m not jostling them around too much but yeah, I love being able to hold them. All my other 24k coins/bars are in flips or assay though, I don’t have to fondle every piece of gold I have as long as I have some to play with. I know gold buffalos are sturdier than most other 24k, they’ve been annealed or tempered or whatever the term is for making 24k more resistant to damage, shame other mints don’t bother with it

I prefer the 1oz Brittania's, Just an example, today 05/07/24, Tavex buy back for 1 Britannia loses you £67.50, Sovs loses you £21.58 Ea, so x four is £86.32 and still less total gold. 1/4oz and 1/10th oz Britannia's though on Tavex are much higher risk, losing £47.30 ea for the 1/4 and a whopping £25.43ea so £254.30 over the Ounce. 1oz Brittania's all the way for me. Or 22ckt jewelery from Malaysia

It's easier to count your gold stack when it's in one ounces. Hah, there you go. I put four quarters in a flip, or five tenths, store the halves with the one ounces. Easier to count. Well with Perth Mint anyway, which is the bulk of my gold.

Silver is currently cheaper than Gold. The statement that I can't afford to stack Silver so I buy Gold instead is illogical. Does the author of such a statement fear that cheap silver will result in silver becoming unobtanium with a cheap price tag?
@felipetejeda75455 күн бұрын
The most important variable is melt value/ premium %. Silver premiums often range from 10-15% sometimes higher. Meaning you’d need the equivalent raise in spot price just to break even on your investment. Gold is clearly the superior option, it’s no wonder the rich choose it over silver.

I have a slight different POV on gold..I gambled for years, was never in no debt and gambled only what i could afford but fell out of luck for a quite a bit of time. That took a toll on my mental health as i became increasingly frustrated and angry. One day i decided instead of placing a bet I would order a gold bar... And I kept on doing that, which not just helped me divert my mind off gambling but also literally prevent me gamble, because it is almost impossible to instantly turn gold into cash flow and then squander it on bets.. So yes it is a fantastic way to save money.
