I wonder did anyone here buy the Märklin starter trainset which was on sale in Lidl a few years ago? This cost €70. The quality was quite good and it could be considered how this compares with Hornby.

The HM7000 is a game changer I hope they continue to improve on this and build more profiles for non Hornby locomotives.

If your planning on just having a small layout not a big one I’d recommend the Coca Cola one or a 0-4-0 set or if you are planning on making it pretty big I’d recommend the flying Scotsman as it’s an iconic locomotive and has good radius tracks

The size. My OO-scale layout is only 128x81 cm and it has a double loop.
