I have the same one 2019 iron I added fork brace,steering dampner, SS 2 into 1 headers, cone air cleaner, fuel pack, a little bigger fairing, Led lights same foot pegs in black Le Pera seat, rear progressive springs n did it all by myself not hard at all I've owned 3 bigger Harleys n I love my sportster it feels really light n handling feels like my dirt bikes I would never think I'd own one but I do not regret it there way better n faster than the older sportster always stay safe n careful riding stay blessed

Short shots look better but the slip ones SOUND better..

I have a 2015 1200 Sportster and I went straight from the stock exhaust to the Short shots. I do love the sound but even with the quiet baffles it is so loud I have to wear earplugs when riding. I have thought to switch over to the Cobra Speedsters. I have heard they sound alot like the Shortys but deeper.

A year old I know, but if you’re blacking it out, change all the bolts to black stainless ones, and find black pegs.

I just love the look of the short shots, and the difference in performance between slip ins and 2 into 1’s etc I bet is negligible. I’d rather get the stage two torque cam and keep the short shots for how they look haha I have the ‘18 iron 1200 and they sound great. I’m going to try taking the baffles out for a ride, but I don’t think my hearing could take it tbf lol

Put some forward controls on and that would complete that bike! Super clean

I have Python 2.5 slip-on mufflers on my 2011 XL883N, a Rough Crafts air filter and a Screamin' Eagle Race Tuner (SERT). I don't have any problems with popping with my setup. The Python slip-on mufflers aren't too loud, I installed them in 2012 and I had them powder coated satin black in 2019 to smarten them up a bit.

I have short shots on my iron 1200 and they are awesome! Loud with that real Harley sound that’s why they are so popular! They do have good performance that’s why everyone uses them!

Did you have the baffles in the pipes when you had the decel popping?

my question is what is louder the slip-ons or the short shots? I get crazy drone on my slip-ons I love the sound but it gives me a wicked headache after about 15 minutes of riding.

i have slip-ons with standard baffles ,for me the sound and performance is great

The slip-ons, with a tune would have noticeably better power then short shots. Short shots look and sound great, but are low end power killers

The popping is from lack of tuning, you should get a Vances & Hines FUELPACK FP3, you can auto tune your own bike after ANY mod. It's a $400 best buy. God bless

Reinhart racing slip ons sound the best to me. I’ve had short shots , mini grenades, bassani 2-1 (best performance) and now reinhart.

Always start with rear shocks. Little progressive goes a long way.

Question… I have the 2020 Iron.. same bike actually. My question is: when I run at 65 mph my engine turns at exactly 3,000 rpms. If I installed a complete stage 1 … would it lower my rpms at the same 65 mph..?? PS… check out MOTORCYCLING WITH CARL. He has the 2019 Iron and has a bunch of mods he’s done. Good video..!! 👍👍
