@@antan2631 A lot of it is going to depend on the type of marker as well as the type of paper. Alcohol markers are going to bleed through pretty much any coloring book paper. Waterbased markers are generally pretty safe on most “higher end” paper like what’s in Johanna Basford, Kerby Rosanes, ect. You’ll need to be mindful not to oversaturate the paper though, or you risk bleed through and paper pilling. Books with thinner paper like what’s in Creative Haven books you may have more risk of the marker bleeding through. I always recommend testing your marker on an inconspicuous spot in the book or a page you don’t really care for. In most of my books that don’t have dedicated medium test pages, I use the title page.

Thank you! It is redundant to see everybody and their mother doing the same unboxing and the same swatching of the same pencils on the same paper... it's just a repeat of what everybody else is doing.... not useful... seeing them in action used by an artist is useful!

I totally forgot about the horn, not gonna lie. But I’ve also been wanting to use the Redemption’s Last Chance fanfare interlude and realized this was the perfect opportunity 😆 And I agree. I’d recommend these if they were on sale, or if you had some money to splurge. But they’re a bit pricey considering you can’t replace single pencils. It was fun to work with though. I think I only used maybe 6-7 pencils total. Thanks for the watch!

I kind of like the book, except for the zendoodly parts, if the animals were as realistic as the flowers around them I'd totally get it but the zendoodly things while pretty aren't really my thing.

Thank you for the flip through! 🙂 I'm happy that I don't like this book. 😂 I want to buy some new books, and this one was on my list. The list is way too long. 😄 The planets would drive me crazy too. So would the hidden objects, in some books. That's why I didn't buy them, because I know I would never color them.

@@Melinda.H Mythographic stopped doing the hidden objects in their books about a year or so ago I believe. I think Imagine was either the last one with hidden objects, or the first one without. And not all of them have the random planets 😄 Thanks for the watch!

Thank you for the review. My main question is, do you recommend using those as a base in coloring books? Or are the Toolli art/Arrtx markers better for that?

@@Loonit23 If you’re working on something with a lot of line work, like in a Kerby Rosanes book, I’d go with the Arrtx dual ended (black barrel) pens. I found them easier to blend and less opaque. If you want something more opaque to cover up lines or fill in large spaces with blocks of color, I’d probably go with the Shuttle Arts. The nibs aren’t as chunky and soft as the Tooli-Arts. Only issue I’ve found with this set really is not enough browns and blues and too many metallics. I haven’t tested any of these with colored pencil though so you may have to try that on some scrap paper first.

I actually just added the time stamps in. I spent about 8-10 minutes talking about the pens and then some initial discussion when I first started the coloring, but aside from an occasional thought...the rest of the stream was just me coloring :) Thanks for the watch <3
