It baffles me that one of the richest neighbour hood in toronto does not have sidewalks. I guess it’s to prevent the peasants from coming. Probably the same people who asked Ford for the bike lanes to be removed.

Exactly the reason why. The residents will just drive in their luxury cars. Walking peasants stay away.

Roncy’s apothecary and Clinic is amazing, it’s like another world. Cafe Polonez and Alimentari have excellent food and vibes. The Local and The Inter steer are great for live music and drinks. The review cinema for movies. Roncy is one of the best hoods in the city.

unless of course if you are part of the so called "elite" and "heavily connected" individual, even then, there's still no need to showcase wealth in Toronto, especially when part of community policing is to encourage home owners to give up their belongings and make it easy for burglars to take what they want from you. this of course is in addition to the various forms of taxes including inflation and lack of public transits and so called health care. meanwhile your local coffee shops are serviced by foreign work permit workers.

How are you supposed to get an appartment if you are migrating as a new permanent resident with no credit history and no job, but a lot of savings (e.g. enough for several years rent)? Can I show the landlord my savings to give them confidence that I have the ability to pay? Also, I thought it was illegal for landlords to request multiple months of rent? (4:04)

Good video. Over 26 years in Newmarket I find it very hard to get around by car. Bus lanes and traffic signals have been designed to keep the flow of buses moving and makes a complete mess of car traffic. Low speed limits and speed cameras have made this town very frustrating to get around with a lot more traffic and not the proper infrastructure to handle the population.

I grew up in Newmarket, i no longer recognize my home town. It used to be a nice quiet respectful town, now it is just mini toronto, homeless, addicts, crime, random gunshots, obnoxious vehicle's, ignorant and impatient people. Foreign languages everywhere! If you grew up in newmarket, you will be treated as an outsider that does not belong! I miss my hometown and honestly wish no one new moved there!

@@PinkZombie1987 Of course a 2 bedroom is worth more, it's a pretty affluent building, residents have the luxury of choosing comfort over value. Plus you can always put a wall back if you need to.

Aurora Ontario sucks if your a cyclist, due to greedy, arrogant, old white men i.e. boomers, that think they own the roads with their cars. Even if you cycle at the very side of the roads that's still not good enough for them. You cycle down the sidewalks then 2 pedestrians suddenly appear, then you have to dismount and walk around them every time, or ride at the side of the roads. I know, I know, the less people there are, the more better. Western Canada, especially Europe, are far more cyclist-friendly, which explains why too many people of all age groups are obese in southern Ontario. Bummer

These neighborhoods are beautiful and coveted areas but you need a household income of $500K+ to buy a home there since they run $2-3 million for a detached home and $1-2 million for a townhouse. Otherwise, there are condos for $700-$800K + exorbitant condo fees of about $500-$1000 per month. Home ownership is an impossible dream for many unless they can find away to 10x their income. I'm saying this as someone who has lived in Toronto for almost 10 years. How about also touching on some more affordable family friendly areas where the detached homes are closer to $1 million (you cannot spend much less than that for a decent/average detached home in Toronto)?
