Scores of times I've been to Tissington. Mostly by bike. Had a caravan at Biggin for 10 yrs on seasonal pitch. My wife died 3yrs ago. And no longer enjoyed it. Now have a Campervan which I'm enjoying Sad the sweet shop has closed. Think it must have closed soon before you went. As I think I went there last yr Very surprised you didn't show or talk about the lovely cafe. In fact it seems you deliberately didn't you was directly opposite when showing well

Hi Bryn, great to have you back. I know exactly how your last 12 months have been, my Dad passed away in April 2020 (Covid) and it took me 2 weeks short of 12 months to have everything sorted. Loving your local walk, I too use the Merlin app, its great just sitting in woodland and listening to the birds. All the best to you both.

My son and I explored both these routes in 1997. Being cycling and railway enthusiasts we had a good day! I lived in this area for 22 years b4 moving to Essex . A very different landscape. Your comments ref snowdrift s bring back memories of Biddulph Moor and Congleton Edge.

Just wanted to say thank you for these walks. I have been walking with Dave's Walks too but when searching for more walks in the UK they don't give every offering no matter how I word the search. Yours came up tonight on my home page and I am so glad. I especially love countryside walks. I guess it's my roots in the UK. I'm originally from Upstate New York but have settled in South Carolina in Greenville. Still some beautiful pastoral areas around here as well as the mountains just above us. But I have to walk at home to get my 10,000 steps and your videos are an enjoyable way to do this. Thanks again and please do more.

Thanks so much for your kind comments. I will be doing more videos soon, I’ve had to take a break after the loss off my mother and all that goes with that but most things are sorted now and I’m able to get out and about again very soon. At a suitable chance in a future video I will give you a shout out! Keep watching and take care. Bryn

Liked and subscribed. So wonderful to see the country. England is a beautiful land which needs for nothing except fewer people. I used to take my Mother for country walks but she is not able to do so anymore. Both Patrick's and your walks enable me to share that beauty; whatever the weather and however Mum is feeling. Thank you.

Hi so sorry for the delay not sure why I didn’t spot your comments earlier. I agree re the “fewer people” solitary walks or rides are so much better. I’m glad you and your mum enjoy the walks with me. Hopefully you have seen the latest video in which I walk to the amazing village of Tissington and Parwich. Thank you for commenting and I will try and give you and your mum a shout out on one of my future walks. Best wishes to you and your mum. Bryn.

Really nice walk that. Did it a couple of times, once as a triple pub walk (monyash's pub, onto the Duke, and the Royal Oak, then back.) Second walk was a less of a pub walk and more of a giant detour to find the donkey sanctuary. Both times, had zero idea it was a Roman road. Great part of the world. "Day 47..." 😂😂😂😂
