High Peak and Tissington Trail Loop

A circular route that starts from Middleton Top, heads out and up the High Peak Trail all the way to Parsley Hay. From Parsley Hay you head down the Tissington Trail until you reach the left turn onto cycle route 548 near Biggin. Route 548 takes you across country back to the High Peak Trail where you rejoin and head back down to Middleton Top.

My son and I explored both these routes in 1997. Being cycling and railway enthusiasts we had a good day! I lived in this area for 22 years b4 moving to Essex . A very different landscape. Your comments ref snowdrift s bring back memories of Biddulph Moor and Congleton Edge.
