Hello. Can you inform me about the calibration resistor values ? This calibration method is used when PIC is changed ? Thank you.

There's a time delay before it tests, could they not have built in a protection circuit, where if there's any potential between the input wires the input is switched to a discharge resistor?

My ESR70 stopped automaticly measuring components. I have to push the test button again, while trying to hold components in my hand, which is very stupid. What kind of problem IS THIS? Thanks for Everything.

You're an artist. Thank you for making and posting this video. ¿Does a new meter (as this) come with calibrating resistors as you have shown here? Are the low resistance measurements stable & repeatable? Thank you.

Great repair of this classical mistake... Could you give more details about the calibration steps? How you activate this menu? What are the resistor values? (I need to perform this step on my own ESR70 as I've a small permanent CC offset, even with the customer auto-calibration procedure)

50v or under, although I've seen it survive higher. But OP said it was a high-voltage cap, so I'm assuming well over 50v.

I also have this problem. when measuring the transformer i get 1.044Kohm and 1.042Kohm, so i guess my transformer is good. my question is can i test the capacitors with my AVO, or do i need a device like you have?
@78b39062af45ec5 жыл бұрын
My ESR meter allow test capacitor in-circuit, if you have device with this function you can test it onboard, otherwise you must desoldering capacitors and test ESR outside of the board.

This video is well done. Camera stays clearly focused through out this complicated process of removing the logic board to then remove the upper case. Parts 1, 2, 3 & 4 complement all steps. I was able to successfully complete an upper case swap on my MBPro Retina 15". Could not have done it without author's help!! Thanks to whomever you are ;-)

@DownhillAllTheWay7 жыл бұрын
This repair was for a focus problem. It would have been really good to see the effect of the focus before and after the repair. When mine is at maximum zoom, the focus is very slightly off. Is that what you had, or was it not focusing at all?

The tiny #0 Phillips-head screwdriver was not hard to find, but there's another tool you're using to poke at the tiny catches (with a point on one end) and remove the ribbon-cable connectors (with a flat on the other). It seems to be made of plastic and also has some very specific-looking notches. What is it called and where can it be obtained? Or what can be used in its place? Thank you for a very detailed video that gets right to the point without excessive introduction or chatter!
