@@susanbruck454 It was one of the few songs that always brought a beautiful smile to moms face. And you sang it similarly to her. It is a lovely plant. By the way. I just actually purchased some branches from the pussy willow plant at a flower shop for a friends garden. Once again thank you for this video. It brings back lovely memories of me walking with my mother in a lovely meadow. 🌱🍀☘️🌳🌵🌿🦚 ❤️ Blessings to you on that note.

Can you also please add story for strating coloring activity
@susanbruck4546 ай бұрын
Hi Payal, I will have to think about that. I never used a story before coloring. If the class was coloring together, I would draw with them. I did use a story and/or song for painting. A song about the rainbow could be good. For painting one year, I told a story about climbing the rainbow to rainbow land-where we saw fairies of various rainbow colors celebrating the seasons. Hope that helps. Let me know.

That first one reminded me so much of a simple puppet I invented about sixty years ago to entertain myself and my little sister. She was six and I was ten and we were on a long steep hike with our family up a 12,000-foot mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park. We all had bandanas to use for headscarves or neck scarves on the hike. But we made ours into puppets as follows: we tied a knot in one corner just as you did. Then we put our first finger into the knot, and wrapped the bandana around our hand, holding it in place with our fourth and fifth fingers. The thumb and second finger spread out to form the arms beneath the cloth. The corner of the bandana sticking out of the head was her wild hair. We called these puppets "Martian Princess" because of that wild hair. We entertained ourselves for miles on that hike and other hikes on that vacation. Thanks for the fun memory!

This is so lovely thank you so much! I will definitely try this in class (I'm a new teacher) Maybe you can help me with another song - I found the text to the "Song of Buttercups" Sing a song of buttercups, Filled with golden sun; Sing a song of daisy flowers - Summertime's begun! Sing a song of singing birds, singing all for fun; Sing a song of summertime - Summertime's begun ...and I was wondering if you knew a melody for this song? I have been looking all over the place for one and I love this one so much I would love to sing it with my kids! =) Thank you for your time, I hope you have a lovely day and a lovely incoming summertime! ♥

That is a very sweet song. I’m not familiar with it. It seems like it would work to the traditional melody for Sing a song of sixpence. I haven’t recorded it, but I’m sure you could find it online if you’re not familiar with it. Good luck with your teaching journey. And have fun 💕
