Fantastic project. What beautiful images capturing the idyllic world that is Hawaii… and though I don’t understand a word I understand the message. Thank you for exposing these wonderful artists to me.

On holiday at Oahu, my husband kept hearing this song. We finally hunted the song down. It became a firm favourite, we attended his Kukahi concert and how have all his cds. My husband has since passed on, Kealii was played at his funeral.❤ from England.

This made me cry, I really felt this through my soul. And I just stumbled upon this video, and not sure how I didn't come across this all these years. This is so amazing. Mahalo a nui to those who sang this, and 'O wau nō me ka mahalo Queen Liliu'okalani, respectfully and forever ❤

It’s 2024…thank you, Hawaii for your welcoming arms during many, many visits over the years. I love and respect your Islands, your heritage, your culture and the blessings you have given to others. Beautiful people, beautiful islands. Sharing your world made my life so, so much richer in that I think your music is what still quiets my soul.

Hawaiian born and raised from 1945, this song was very popular in bars and gatherings. My mom was musician who performed with many popular artists till her passing in 2006. Never knew the background of this song till 1976 when my tutu told me. I sang along every time I heard it growing up. I live mainland now but my kanaka ways are still strong and visible for all to see and notice

I am Hawaiian at heart ever since visiting the islands in 1963 and learning to do Hula. One of my daughters moved to Kaua’i 45 years ago and now I have grandchildren and great grandchildren there. My Neice has a home in Maui and I have friends on Oahu and Hawaii Island. I am blessed to be able to spend many weeks there every year but I still have my home in San Diego. This music stirs me in my soul. It was one of the first hulas that I learned and I still do it today. I know several of the performers in this video and I love them all. Aloha Nui Loa🌺
