Sarah & Josh - I have the same size Trangia which I have carried hiking for over 40 years. I use metholated spirits (alcohol) exclusively. Fabulous stoves / cooksets. The original meth / alcohol burner will boil water, cook pancakes and everything in between. I purchased the kettle in which I keep the burner, handle, matches, scourer and washing detergent. I dilute the metho with water between 10 and 20% - this helps reduce carbon on the pans, allows me to manipulate burning temps to tweak such for specific purposes eg: a little less heat for pancakes even when using the simmer cap. Hiking: One carries the cooker and fuel - One carries the tent. If the alcohol burner is left (ignored) long-term and the metho dries leaving crud deposits behind - soak for a few days in vinegar to clean everything up nicely 🙂 The only issue I have ever had was waking up one morning, at a few too many degrees below freezing, to find the metho (alcohol) would not ignite. Solution: use gas - or - stowe your metho cannister in the end of your sleeping bag with your boots - coz' ya' dont wanna' be gettin' up on a cold morning to find your boots frozen. There are some things you only do once 😉😉

Absolutely incredible journey, hats off to you both for even contemplating such a trip without any real travel plans !! .. I have to say your video footage is breathtaking, especially the drone footage which is totally surreal ... How you manage to carry all this equipment on 2x bikes defies all the odds ... I look forward to your next episode and I wish you both well on your amazing travels.

We could watch this a 1000 times and still find it as mesmerising. So in love with what you're doing and the way you tell your tale. Completely agree about the enjoyment of taking it slow and noticing all the small moments around you. The journey is the best part. Can't wait for the next episode :)

A very beautiful video you guys! 🙂 You both are very talented filmmakers. 🙂 And by the way there's nothing wrong with taking your time traveling. I do van life and I call myself a "wandering butterfly" because traveling should never be a race, but a journey of exploration and discovery. The only time I can see maybe speeding up one's journey is to avoid bad weather conditions or in places like India to travel there when it's not monsoon season... but taking things slowly is always the most fun and memorable way of enjoying one's travels. Anyway keep up the good work and I'll be looking forward to seeing your next video. Take care and happy travels!
