Josh & Sarah Ride

Josh & Sarah Ride

Күн бұрын

We finish work, pack our bags and ride off into the hills to spend a night in a tent.
The last few months have been full-on and it’s got overwhelming. But periods like this always remind us just how powerful a night in a tent can be. And it’s long overdue.
And a big thank you to our new Patreon community for supporting our filmmaking. It was really exciting to have our first credits and are grateful to you all for getting involved. Here's the link if you'd like to find out more: / joshandsarahride
We hope you enjoy the video folks!

As a healthy 73 year old, I would correct one part of your statement. You are a role model for everyone, every age. Health is everything but it’s also outlook. My traveling days on that scale never happened but traveling, meeting new people, has always brought more joy than the material things. Bravo. Safe journeys and keep sharing.

Keep going - these moments are ALL there is....one moment after another...have a deep plan for security though - for one day - as all we have is now, but there are different NOW times depending on our health. I’ve written a comment before; you are lovely people, authentic I feel, and clearly love each other - GO for you lives you two, as tour lives gently unfold, twists & changes and unfolds to something else that presently you have no idea about... always...STAY OUTSIDE & be strong in your every moment enjoyment!!!😊🌻X

It will be a dead one for a while. but i WILL DO THIS. really doesnt matter what comes my way. I WILL DO IT. probably alone. but maybe its just that what i need. i cant indentify with my "generation" (2005 kids). everyone is odd. and noone belives in me. they all say i will fail. but i prove them wrong in about a year!!! keep up your good work. you inspire great people! just NEVER stop doing what you love! Well, that's a nice video about camping. My head agrees 100%. But I have the problem the other way round: As much as I like the idea of an overnighter or a short 2-5 days trip, almost every time I pack my stuff and go for it, I feel overwhelmed. Almost always some small things go wrong and that completely throws me off the rails. Most of the time I shorten my trip (often even in the early morning hours) and take the shortest way home. (I live in Germany. So most of the times there is a train station in reach to get home .) I feel calmer when I stay home and watch videos about going outdoors … There were times before the internet, when I hadn't these problems and did two-weeks bike tours with camping (on camping sites; again: Germany ;-) As I am writing this, I am pretty sure that "before the internet" plays a significant role in this change. The other aspect is being out of practice. Since the tours with my children there have been more than ten years now - and I think I have to get used to it again. Anyway … thanks again for the right video at the right time to encourage me just to go on nice small trips and re-enjoy camping 🙏
@joshandsarahride
@joshandsarahride 7 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing. That is really curious, especially as you say that since having access to the internet, your enjoyment of camping has really changed. Have you considered trying one or two night trips? I'm curious what it is that makes you cut trips short when you would enjoy them in the past? You mention camping with your kids in the past, is this what's changed? Camping isn't for everyone and if brings more stress then maybe it's something that isn't right for you all the time. Although we love a night outside, it's defiantly not as good a night's sleep as we get at home. So if we're really exhausted, we know a night in the tent wouldn't be the most refreshing. I find when there are strict time or distance restraints on a trip it's much more relaxing. What is relaxing can change depending on where your head and energy levels are at. It can be helpful not to force what you used to be enjoyable, but find out what that is now :) I'm glad you enjoyed the next video! And I hope your next trip is fulfilling 🏕
