So in a 2-player game: if someone can’t show but still has a scout chip, they can play it and not end the round - i.e. the it’s the next player’s turn? That doesn’t make sense. Because when I had only 1 card left, my opponent played a 4-card run… I only had one card in hand and a scout chip. I then play the scout chip, steal the lowest card in their run and now they have to beat it themselves??
@kevincragun5853Ай бұрын
If you can’t show, you have to use the scout chip and get the 2nd card in hand. You can’t end the game when you want to minimize your penalty at the end of the round.

Thanks for the video! One question, if you reserve a pokemon just to get a masterball. And you use that to capture a different pokemon later, what will happen to the reserved pokemon?

The Pokémon will stay in your reserve until you catch it. You don’t have to catch it if you don’t want to. Thanks!
@junelpagtakhan57402 ай бұрын
@@thediceyreview oh. so it seems like you can do this to block certain evolutions from other players in case you have no intention to catch it and just get a masterball? since it will just be in your reserve. is this correct?

@@junelpagtakhan5740 you could use it like that yes, or you could just make sure you save one that you want to do so it doesn’t get stolen. You just can’t reserve one of the legendary/rare ones.

Can I get an evolution from a Pokémon by paying for it, without using the evolution method and thus not discarding the Pokémon that evolved?
@thediceyreview2 ай бұрын

@@user-ed5fs2sb2z maybe I misunderstood the question sorry. If you have a charmander and want to buy a charmeleon without evolving you absolutely can. If you evolve any Pokémon though you have to discard the original card under your character piece.

I like this one, espcially with the small exxpansion/s (promo/s). For some reason some players I play with seems to dislike it or have a bad impression of it though (I guess to low score on Boardgamegeek or the fantasty style is the issue). As it is quick I see no issues with it being repetitive, it is a card game...

24:15 - The reason you should always roll one dice at a time when two Space Marines are eligible to be attacked is that if the kill roll is first than the second Cultist will attack the other Space Marine which might kill him as well. The way you roll multiple dice you cheat the Cultists out of attacks. You played it correct at 25:20. 24:52 - Actually it needs 2 moves to get out of it. "PITFALL TILES: The first time in a round a Space Marine makes a Move action whilst in a pitfall tile, that Move action has no effect. That Space Marine must make a second Move action in that round to move from the Pitfall tile." In that case it didn't matter because either way Brother-Sergeant Artellus needed his extra activation to just move out of the Pitfall. But you forgot to use his ability. Fun playthrough. Yes, this game is pretty hard. Especially for a Space Marine Adventures one. But it have the most versatile terrain layout. The randomization each time is awesome. In comparison The Rise of the Orks have ultra-stagnate terrain, absolutely the same each time with perfect position for every class that if you don't take you play suboptimal. So the game is extremely similar and repetitive every run. But Doomsday Countdown's randomized layout is a very strong positive trait.
@Michael.Virtus3 ай бұрын
18:44 - You forgot to respawn the slain Champion. 22:50 - No. You need to have Line of Sight to the target, not to your teammate. Brother Siceran's "Auspex Scanner: When a Space Marine (including Siceran) makes an attack roll, if Siceran has line of sight to the target and the result was a 1 or 2, you may roll the dice for that attack roll a second time." 31:26 - Too late for that - as you read earlier (26:18): "Play this card after a Space Marine activates". Not after the enemies activate. You need to plan ahead. So you definitely deserved those two 6s (31:45). Anyway fun playthrough.
