Does this kit work for a 1972 duster with the small 5x4 bolt pattern? I opened my drums up and my self adjusting cable is torn, but looks different than the one on the video. Mine just has an eyelit on one end and like a hook on the other end, it doesnt have that green spring like the ine on the video. Hope you reply

I had to remove lower control arms to replace bushings and decided to replace shocks as well. Is it easier to install bottom side first or top side? The new shops are tied down (compressed) so I can release and extend once I top or bottom is secured.

Love them old duster, my old man's favorite cars.. funny story growing up being in a gm family. My dad and I were at a junkyard when he spotted a duster... it was stacked on top of 2 other cars.. was like a trophy. He wouldn't stop talking about that car. When he said those were his favorite. It honestly surprised me .. love you dad RIP. Thanks for the video

Thanks for the video. I have a 1973 Dodge Dart Swinger with the same setup. I am thinking of buying the Weiand 8022WND intake. Which one do you have on this motor? Also, has it worked out ok for you? I am also considering the Edelbrock 19069 Factory Remanufactured AVS2 1906. I hope you can get back to me. Thanks

Compressing the KYB Just-a-Just shocks is really challenging. Took me several tries to fit them.

compadre me podrias decir si a estos motores 360 8 cilindros se les puede dar mantemiento a la bomba de aceite si es asi como le quito el carter veo que esta complicado ya que entre el bastidor del camion y hay poco espacio me podrian decir como le hago mantenimiento a la bomba de aceite el asunto es que mi camion cuando esta a temperatura de trabajo la precion del aceite cae a 20 psi cuando acelero sube a 40 psi sera normal o algo pasa con la bomba saludos desde mexico

OK, I could overlook the lime green engine paint... but I have a hard time excusing the 2-barrel. The 273 is a great little engine though in 4-barrel trim. The Edelbrock .420" lift Performer cam is close to the 4-barrel Charger/Commando's cam (.425" lift). The Weiand 8022 "Stealth" manifold and AFB 625 cfm would really make it run.

The commando is so different a engine than a standard 273 you can't just slap a 4bbl carb on it and call it 4 bbl trim, sounds picky but I hate when guy's do just that and call it a 4bbl engine

@@inquiringmind4511 Correctamundo! Compression on the Charger/Commando 273 was 10.5:1, and it had heavier valve springs. Cam was .425" lift, if I remember correctly, as opposed to the .390" something of the stock 2-bbl 273 and 318. Also it had a dual point distributor and instead of taking N size plugs, it took J11Y's. The exhaust was single, not dual exhaust, with a "resonator" after the muffler, though the diameter of the single exhaust pipe was larger than used on the 273 2-bbl (and 318). I did test drive both my Charger 273 Dart GT and a similar Dart GT with a 318 2-bbl, and the Charger 273 was a better performer.

at 40 seconds what is the bushing called that sits in the fender for the shock threads? I have new QA1 shocks for my Dart. The bushings are too small that come with it and the old ones crumbled apart.

I'm sure you figured it out by now (you had four years), but just in case this helps anyone else: "Upper Shock Absorber Bushings" (part # MN38100), or from Mancini: "Upper Shock Tower Bushings" (part # MRE2206923). I THINK they're pretty much the same part.

I got so much slop in my linkage that the Neutral Safety switch isn't making in P and I have to throw it in N just to start the car. That thing sucks.

The back pie pan piece I've always used right against the spring and not behind the backplate. I had no idea they go onto the back of the plate 😂
