Is there any recommendations if I’ve had a lot of resin pooling around the small cracks and the studs on the lower outer portion of the helmet? It seems to be giving quite some trouble to remove it in those corner spots

Am I missing something or do the peg holes in the back for the stripe details not need to be there? Looks like those stripes don’t have peg holes to attach with?
@JohnsPrintLab11 күн бұрын
yeah they don't need to be there. the stripes just glue in and cover them.

HOW DID YOU HIDE THE LAYER LINES??? can i have a link to buy this sander?
@JohnsPrintLabАй бұрын
Sanding and priming on repeat until you're happy with the finish. Any electric sander will do but the one I use is a wireless Ryobi Orbital sander. You can find wired sanders for like $25-30 online and at stores like Harbor Freight. The full video and process is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6LIqH-aqN-Er8U&lc=UgwCxd1CzfHoJf4pp3J4AaABAg

You'd have to modify the model to be hollow inside but it's probably doable.

I want to make the same texture as my build plate, that way thing that are printed on one side can have two symmetrical sides with texture and the rest smooth. That way things won’t have one out of place textured side

You could probably do this in a few days if you worked at it a bit every day. The longest parts are waiting for the paints to dry.

Linking to models isn't required though, lol. Its good if you do but its definitely not required per their license. Payment IS supporting the artist, its not like he just copied a video and posted it like reactors do.

There are several ways to determine helmet scaling. The one I use most are these sizing heads makerworld.com/en/models/525268 with the helmet assembled in the slicer. I then move the helmet around and scale until it looks good.

His etsy store got taken down a few days ago due to copyright I believe. Some studio basically complained about his files to etsy and they shut the store down. He is working on getting his own website up and running, but right now it seems the Patreon is the only way.

I know I'm a bit late, and you've probably already heard this, but it's best not to touch your prints right before paint. The oil from you fingers can cause the paint to not adhere correctly
