@@kyleterlesky4780try that. If that doesn’t work I would unmount the steps and get a better look at what’s going on. Something could have sheared and got bound up.

@5.0jeffro79 I removed the motor and gearbox today and the running board is STILL seized! I was surprised, but at least the motor or gear pin isn't the problem. Next I will remove the board and linkages and see what is preventing movement

Nope just do whatever I did in this video you will have no issues. Just negative terminal like I show.

12th gen f150s don’t have sport mode. But 15 and up do and the tunes are worth it in every way. Custom tuners know how to tune the truck to change and feel good with all settings. So if your truck has sport mode the guys at oz will make that mode feel way better than stock. Your whole truck will just be better.

The pry tool I was using came with an LED interior light set I got for my f150. I’m sure you can find plastic pry tools like it on Amazon for sure.

I turned them on after the truck got up to temps. But you can turn them on right when you get in the truck to let it idle and then test drive.

Yup using air is good if you go it and like I did I just used some brake cleaner and flush it out and old lube out.

Yea I am thinking about getting a trim over lay kit for some stuff. Looking for a quality one which is hard.

Does the motor try to make it come down? Do you hear it? If you don’t then the motor could be bad. If it’s stuck all the way up try pulling on it while someone opens the door then do this process and see if it helps.

@@PraiseGod247lay under there of have your son while you open the door. See if you can hear the motor. If it’s only your driver side something isn’t working. Either the motor is seized or just don’t work. Or it could simply have a wire that is frayed.

Thanks for watching! Maybe you just got some bad ones. I usually don’t put cheaper lights on my vehicles but mine are still looking good and holding up. Look into some better quality ones if you don’t want to try some cheapos again for sure.

Nope what ever I did in the video was it. It’s still on the truck today no leaks. But you can put a bead of silicon around it for better peace of mind.

Very light coats of paint, I forgot to mention it here. You don’t want to clog the holes up but you can use a safety pin or small screw driver to poke the hole back.

Yes I did. Expensive but worth it. No point in trying to paint a bolt that won’t last and paying to powder coat them would be more than buying from method. So just got them from method.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 30 mins then reconnecting it and trying? That will give the truck time to reset some modules.

@@5.0jeffro79 i hadn’t done 30m but I’ll do that. I think I had done 15m and tried to do the relearn but nothing yet. I’ll update you thank you

@@baileyzmannI would think that 15 mins would be enough but I have read a few places that 30 mins seems to work for clearing some modules. It’s like if your battery died and you ran to get another battery. Take you 30 mins to an hour and When you put it in and hook it up your truck has to relearn shifts and Everything because it was disconnected.

@@5.0jeffro79 still just stalling out for me. I’m getting codes P0122, P0223, and U0422. Thinking I might’ve somehow messed up the throttle body when cleaning it but I’m not sure how I would’ve done that.

@@baileyzmann​​⁠could have. Google those codes and read about them. But those are some symptoms of a bad throttle body for sure.

If you make sure you snap them on correctly you won’t have a problem. Watch the video I have of getting them off. I have it pinned in the comments of this video. You will see how they don’t come off easy sometimes.

I am not sure on that. But I will tell you about a month ago I came to a stop sign and my truck shut off as well. And my throttle body is clean because of this video. It threw no code or anything. Hasn’t done it since. First thing you should check is fuse 27. The fuel pump fuse. They like to melt on these trucks and there is a relocation kit you need to do. Start there. I have that kit so that’s not my issue but that could be yours failing. And at least you will have an answer if your fuse looks burnt.

You really won’t save gas with this. If you can stay off of the gas you can maybe get .2 more. But no this is more to take the lag out of the throttle and make it responsive. And if you put it really responsive then your mpg could actually suffer.

@@jdmfamily7182​​⁠that’s pretty good if you ask me! If you ever see it going down clean your throttle body. I have a video on that. I got .4 mpg back doing mine. Really noticed it on the highway.

@@5.0jeffro79 wow thats a big difference if you have a clean throttle body, I should've mentioned it too my truck is an 2015 f150 platinum 5.0 currently at 151k, and so far it runs good and healthy.

Thanks I love these lights! A lot of people break the Mirror or the mirror is brittle behind there. Which was my case on my spare mirrors. I am just showing a way to definitely not break them.

If you left it plugged in and it did a sweep I bet your fingers will hurt when it closes back on them. Maybe not chop off but you will get a nice wake up call. Once it’s off it shouldn’t do a sweep.

This is just fords procedure and even a tech I know told me I could do it like that. But yes you can just unhook the battery

@@5.0jeffro79 hey buddy I got mine yesterday from Auto Zone and installed it. I had the choice between Duralast limited lifetime and the OEM AC Delco 1 year warranty so I went with Duralast. So far so good. I also did some further research on them. It stated that from the factory most purge valves are bad but there a few ways you can test them. The first way is the smoke test, the second way is the air pressure test and the last is the water test. The water test is the easiest. I wish I could tag you in the video that I found for it but basically all you do is get a bottle of water, open it, get the purge valve, get a small pipe to connect to the bottom of the purge valve, place it in the bottle of water, with your mouth blow in the top hole of the purge valve. If there's bubbles when you blow into the water it's bad but if there's none then it's good. Hope this helps. 👍🏾

That sounds like a wiring issue. I would check the fuse for your steps and the wiring. Also check where the motor plugs in make sure it’s clean. Can you guide it up when you shut your door? Does it try to do anything?
