🤜⚡💥⚡🤛 We have the innovations to make the most efficient, low cost, quiet, power dense turbo engines possible...without a recuperator, even for microturbines. Talk?🤜⚡💥⚡🤛

670fpm is about 300% more than the 150 actually gets. You're lucky if you get 300fpm through 3000ft.

I have owned an rv3, 2 rv4’s, 2 rv6’s, Rv7 a and a harmon rocket. I currently fly an rv6. It is the most practical one of the bunch considering price vs performance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with choosing a used homebuilt rv series airplane if you get a qualified mechanic to perform a thorough prebuy inspection. You can buy one much cheaper than building one. Other than the one comment about not choosing a used homebuilt, your video was excellent. Well done.

woah thats a whole fleet! Yep, my point was that if you don't have a qualified mechanic that knows all ins and outs of the rv.. i think its just me wanting to be sure that everything was assembled perfectly. By the way, what are your thoughts about the rv7, comparing to 6?
@titanhank1
@titanhank1 3 күн бұрын
@@bigmetalbirds the rv7 was the replacement to the rv6 making it easier to build. The rv7 is easier to repair due to the pre-punched nature of the kit vs the jig and drill at home nature of the rv6. Other than that, the performance is nearly identical. They are both fantastic aircraft.

not sure what your laughing at. for most of us pilots we spent almost 20k just to get the license and enjoy the skies. Not for all bit for those of us with expendable money who worked our asses off to get here 30 40 or 50 is a good deal

I've owned a M20J 201 for 4 months now. I absolutely love the plane. I did all my training in Pipers, Cherokee, Warrior, Archer and Arrow (retractable). The Mooney is much difficult to fly and land, it doesn't forgive poor technique like the Pipers do but fly it on the numbers and it rewards you like no other. Slippery airframe that floats and floats in ground effect if you get the numbers wrong and fast. The more I fly it the less likely I ever see myself flying anything else. Btw it hard to get your up, it's so fast you get there too quickly for your log book's liking😂.

Where did you get the information that Skymaster only produces 360 hp because of the rear engine being in disturbed air? I have never seen anything even remotely close to that.

Grande aeronave.❤

When the Beaver was in design and the company surveyed bush pilots to list the specs for their dream bush plane, de Havilland, after analyzing the responses was said to have said; "What they want is a pick-up truck with wings"....so that's what he gave them.

Sorry to hear that. My friend who does professional voice acting is voicing this channel, while I, the guy who is writing this reply right now, is just someone curious about general aviation and loves doing research about it, and we both are from Europe and English is not our first language. Anyhow, i should have watched other videos about Cirrus to know how it is pronounced correcly, sorry for that.

Super informative, relaxed, well spoken voice over and taught me everything I wanted to know about this plane to make a decision to look for one, and all of this in a few very easy watching and entertaining video. Props and big thanks for the creator🎉 !!!

I remember a local flying club/training company at Gillespie Field in San Diego had one parked behind their sign for DECADES! Their property was right on the corner of the airport (which was also on a fairly busy road) so I guess it was just an attention grabber. Cuz I have no idea if it ever actually flew, but it sat there for AT LEAST 20+ years. Sadly it disappeared from that spot maybe about 10yrs ago. No idea what happened to it, but while they do have another plane in that spot, it doesn't seem anywhere as near as interesting as the old RC! www.google.com/maps/@32.8168858,-116.9709826,3a,15y,320.34h,85.79t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sCq3oXMzUjsNIqfd9zFccWw!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3DCq3oXMzUjsNIqfd9zFccWw%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D248.08818%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu

Great video that brings back memories from 1954. I was 7 years old. We were visiting my grandpa in the little town of Strängnäs, Sweden. Grandpa Ragnar Ragnegård had a house right on the Västerviks harbour. One day a Sea-Bee landed there and for a fee dad and I boarded the plane in the backseat. We got going with water spraying on the windshield and all of a sudden we broke free from the water and away we went. The feeling of freedom has never left me. I actually saw the seagulls from above and the Lake Mälaren spread out below us. Like a dream. Later in my life i emigrated to Alberta Canada and with the memory of that first flight I got my pilot license and my own airplane. The rest is history.

It's unfortunate world events have come into play but there were two Russian built twin engine amphibians being built till recently.. and a few European ultra light Amphibians. Worth looking at ..? Modern materials can make the amphibian a lot more reliable especially if operating in coastal areas by eliminating leaks and corrosion issues.

I grew up between ages of 4 and 12, 1970-1978 in Grosse Ile, Michigan. There is an airport at the bottom of "The Island" as people call it, and not only is there a great pizza shop, but there is a ramp with a lot of odd airplanes there. I remember seeing Piper Aztecs with their strange nose in 1971, and hearing the strange sound of Garrett turboprops on a Merlin about the same time. And there was parked on the ramp, probably owned by some doctor/surgeon....A Republic Sea-Bee! I remember it from the strange shape when I was six years old; We went one night to the library in Trenton, across the river, and I looked it up in a book. Since the airport in Grosse Ile was a bit too far away for me to ride my bike down to, I never looked into it. But it put a "post it" note in my mind, I.E. to look it up again. Where I live now, at age 58, you cannot land a seaplane due to local ordinances, which is ridiculous, since the Middle River behind my house is open for water sports; A 26 foot boat or less can tow people up to 35 mph. I guarantee an ultralight on floats can get airborne at less than that speed! GREAT video!!!
