This should be played this year for the team. We gotta bring this hard hat culture back. We’re a tough hard working city. With a diverse team and fan base from all different walks of life. We got some good years ahead of us. Let’s go Pittsburgh 💪🏽

I grew up a Dolphins fan and when we beat the Steelers in '72 in Pittsburgh for the AFC Championship game on our way to complete the perfect season, Csonka has said the week leading up to that game when watching film it was like looking in the mirror. Both Shula and Noll played for Paul Brown with the Cleveland Browns and built and coached their teams nearly identically.

Hollywood Henderson probably cost Dallas the superbowl from his rude and disrespectful comments about Bradshaw! lol So glad the Steelers won! Favorite team of all time! All their players were just fantastic. Terry Bradshaw my favorite quarterback! Happy I grew up during that era!

My favorite Steeler of all time. Period. Met him at an autograph show and he spend a long time talking to me while a line of other admirers waited in line. Asked me to put on his 4 SB rings and took a photo together. When your favorite player EXCEEDS your expectations...that's Rocky Bleier.

This brought back memories of not just football. But changing times in the 1970’s. For me being a kid and seeing his face on the cover of Sports Illustrated was impactful. Great example of manhood✊🏾

Great dynasty! The 01’ -10’ Steelers were close to that time . 12 playoff wins , 6 division titles 3 SBs , 2 wins vs 14 playoff wins , 7 division titles 4 SB wins 72’-79’. Steelers have lost the Steelers way lately taking in unwanted players vs draft and develop to sustain winning or getting to title games , 5 straight blow out playoff losses in a 8 year span . Not looking good for the Steelers these days . Always have the glory days to look back on!

I was a freshman at North Texas and watched Joe play on a team that was loaded with future NFL talent (Steve Ramsey, Ron Shanklin, Chuck Beatty, Glen Holloway and Cedric Hardeman), Joe was a man among boys. It’s hard to imagine just how dominating he was in the field. In those days, he was considered a very large defensive lineman at 6’4” 275, and he just pushed the entire side of the offensive line back into the backfield on every play, but could react quickly to a running back. I met Joe a couple of times and he was always just an incredibly nice guy. North Texas was able to recruit African American players in Texas largely because the other Texas teams, members of the Southwest Conference, were mostly all-white and didn’t recruit black players. Also, North Texas had a progressive legacy of recruiting African American athletes with Abner Haynes and Leon King being recruited in 1957, integrating football in Texas.

I'm 70-year-old this year and what a time it was being a young man watching the steelers from 1972 to this very day what a great team and a great time to be young watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, And guess what Ernie Holmes signed my grandson's football the year Roethlisberger Berger won his first Super Bowl.

Though I was born & raised in NYC my dad had the decency to raise me a Steelers fan in the '70s. And they're the only team in any sport that still makes me feel like an 8 year old when I see the uniform. Including the Yankees - my other favorite team.

I was born in 71. Farm kid middle of nowhere in Kansas. I was born loving sports. When i was 5, my older siblings were watching football. I saw the steelers and loved those black uniforms. The love affair was born with the Steelers. Mean Joe was my favorite. I got a poster of the steel curtain for xmas and i would fall asleep staring at that poster while listening to MNF with Jack Buck and Hank Stram. Tiny , red AM radio that i slept with by my ear. Something the younger generation will never understand, is how the NFL was back then. U had a noon game (always Steelers) and the late game(always Cowboys). Every one living in remote areas were predominantly Steelers or Cowboys fans. What made the rivalry so intense was the players spent entire careers with your team. The arguments of kids at school, family reunions, were intense. My love for the Steelers was gradually replaced by the chiefs, but i still root for the steelers. My hatred of the Cowboys will never leave. As a Chiefs fan we realize how fortunate we are to have Mahomes. I hate comparisons of greatest teams, players. The evolution of how the game is played make comparisons and stats moot. You can only use the eye test. For me, The 70s Steelers are the greatest.
